No, but there is the worry of foreign troops being brought in to “help” that would fire on US civilians.
I'd say today it depends on the Marine.
The traditional soldier is being driven out. The efforts to put more women in command positions and the allowance of open homosexuality are there not just to placate certain groups. These policies are meant to discourage the entry into the military of conservatives.

I have had countless posts about this. Marines, GI’s etc won’t have to heart to fire at another human being. Even if they had their sights on the most anti US military libtard in America, yelling and spitting at them. My cousin serves at Red Cloud in Sokor and they had that conversation. It just comes down to Dem officers who have no respect to the Constitution like say recent West Point grads (whistling)

Yes, they will fire on US citizens. Google the “29 Palms Questionnaire”, circa 1998 or 99. Marines were asked if they would fire on American citizens if they were given a lawful order. Most answered yes. I’ve not seen this questionnaire since I first read in in the late 80s so I’ll need to find a copy if one is available. But what I’ve written above is really close to it.
I think that Homeland Security is building "Obama's Civilian National Security Force" for that purpose.

Yes they will fire on US citizens. They have been trained to do that for decades. Ask an old timer, or even a current member.
Not all of them, but many will. Take troops stationed in Texas to New York. Troops from California to Maine. They will fire on citizens. It is part of the oath to defend against threats foreign and domestic.
