Just happened to see the tail end of this thread. Until a few days ago, there was NO WAY I was going to vote for Rombag. Still hoping against hope for some kind of revolt at the convention. But now I am actually going to vote for Ryan/Rombag. Here are my reasons:

1. 0kaka, as the puppet for his handlers, is enacting a "soft" commie/muzzie/fag revolution. All those who should be doing something to stop him appear to have become eunuchs. After the election, if he is still in the WH, it will not stay "soft".

2. Rombag although UTTERLY LOATHESOME is not a muzzie or a commie.

3. He chose Ryan and not someone as utterly loathesome as himself. Theoretically Ryan could end up as Pres, such things can happen.

If 0kaka is elected, there will be absolutely massive bloodshed and violence as he takes off any semblence of mask and opens the re-education camps, gulags, re-enacts the starving of the Kulaks, a new version of the Rwanda massaccre, the Bataan Death March, death camps, and so on.

Therefore, I very reluctantly plan to vote for Ryan/Rombag. I fully understand why people can't stand to, I was among their number until just a few days ago. 0kaka's rise to the presidency was planned by the worst combination of racists, muzzies and commies for a long time. It is the Revolution they've wanted since the 60s if not earlier.

I agree with you completely. Splitting the US is a monumental task. Possibly harder than creating it in the first place because Left-Wing Progressives and Right-Wing Progressives and Constitutionalists all live on the same soil. How would be work out the logistics of moving people around until we all had our own patch of ground to call home?

So, 2Chronicles 7:14 is all we have left. Life in the United States will have to get a lot worse before we give up our idols and turn back to the one true God. I believe that Obama’s master knows this and he will direct his servants to keep the comfort level just high enough to insure that we keep chasing after those idols.

Maybe God is calling us to be more focused on our citizenship in His kingdom rather than our citizenship here. We are now an occupied country and are in the minority. We can learn from other christians who have had to endure antichristian governments and societies. It just breaks my heart to be saying this about the USA.

I haven’t been feeling very polite lately, I will admit.

Years ago, a very good friend's husband, who had become a friend too, got blood clots in his lung or lungs. He was not yet 40, and had two small boys, and another child on the way. He was misdiagnosed, and by the time he was hospitalized, he was near death. They had to do major invasive surgery, including pulling out a major vein in either one or both legs (it was years ago, I can't remember) in order to save his life. His wife had to make the decision, it meant he might lose his leg/s. She chose to have the surgery done.

Thankfully, he survived, has circulation issues, but is alive and in pretty good health, more than 20 years later, and has grandchildren now.

Sometimes risks have to be taken in order to save the body - so I look at voting for Ryan/Rombag like that. Gives us a chance to stay alive and deal with the rest of the rot. Analogy isn't perfect, but I'd rather buy some time and try to get back to a Constitutional government with our freedoms and rights protected. 4 more years of 0kaka will guarantee bloodshed and huge loss of life, IMHO.

I dealt with another freeper who used a very similar personal analogy. A better analogy is that there are 2 cars — one of them a dragster and the other a Ford Pinto. Both are faced towards the cliff. You’re invited into either car. The better choice is not to get into the car. To claim that the Pinto is slower to go over the cliff and you can reason with the driver on the way down is bogus.

But there is no way to not be in one of the two cars. There is no way to not have a president, and it seems that there is only going to be a possibility of 0kaka or Ryan/Rombag. If there was someone else to vote for who could win, it would be a different tale. It's either or, not three choices. I wish it were not so, but the vile GOP is forcing this upon us. Write in someone? Won't win. It's either the Pinto, the dragster, or get thrown off the cliff anyway. There is no possibility of "hey, let's just have no president!". It's one or the other. I just realized the other day that this is why I will vote for Ryan/Rombag. It buys us time.

I HAVE to vote 0kaka OUT.

How far down the pit of hell does the GOP need to go before you’ll say, “no thanks”? For principled pro-life conservatives, the GOP has gone way too far already.

Ask Finny — does he feel proud about voting for a RINO when he denigrated McClintock and put in for Schwarzenegger? RINOs do more damage to conservatism than democrats do.

I lived in Santa Barbara a few years back. Our conservative congressman did a pretty good job. Along came this republican dude with lots of money, named Huffington. he spent more on this congressional primary race than any other in history. He unseated the congressman. When the time came to vote, I could not pull the lever for this POS and wrote in the former congressman. Straight Republican ticket. Years later, Huffington admitted to being gay, his wife divorced him and started Huffington Post, and do-nothing congressman Huffington basically did more damage to conservatism than any democrat ever could. The seat has been firmly in the hands of a librul ever since. Writing in the conservative republican over that POS was the honorable thing to do.
