Count me as a purist too.

I will not vote for either candidate. It’s not a change. It’s not my values.

“This post from FReeper “Leep” “

I have never heard of this clown. Was this a troll?

I'm comfortable voting for Ryan and against Obama but I've never found it helpful to castigate those who cannot do so in good conscience. (For one thing, it's not good practice as a Christian to encourage people to violate their conscience!)

My take is pretty simple:

If you can handle supporting Romney/Ryan, do so-

If not, work to support conservative candidates in other races, as JimRob is doing

That purist label is a lie anyway. Conservatives are the ones who have repeatedly compromised for moderates only to be stabbed in the back. Guys like McCain and Graham wouldn’t be where they are if conservatives hadn’t compromised for them and in return conservatives have been repeatedly screwed.

In contrast, George Romney stomped off to pout and refused to endorse or support Barry Goldwater when he won the nomination in 1964.

The purists are the moderates who reserve their compromise for their friends on the left.

Reminds me of how they acted when various TEA party candidates knocked off RINOs in primaries.

Long live FR. You, Drudge, and Instapundit are my news sources. Period.

Consequently, I receive relevant news sooner and with far less distortion and omissions than from the MSM.

As for RINOs, may they rest at the bottom of the same sewage tank as the Obamadork and his West Wing Clown Show of Felon/Cretins.

Oh, and RINOmney is still a dork...although I will have to hold my nose and vote for him.

Any way we can drop the vapid dork and get Ryan to the top spot?

You're taking flak so you are still over the target.

The GOP is a disgrace to our Country and way of life. They pretend to be conservative but are nothing more than Democrats hiding behind a veil of limp talk. They have the same values as the Dems since they fully believe the citizens are too ignorant to run their own lives and need to be subjugated to the GOP elite whims.

I will be voting to defeat Barack Hussein Obama!

Ryan Paul is a near-perfect T.E.A. Party candidate and would be a heartbeat away from the presidency if elected.

Could even position him for his own presidential run.

I enjoy and support FR, so I'll try not to get the boot after all these years.

My priority is the defeat of Obama.

WTF is a RINO these days anyway? The Republican Party has moved Left. That’s a true fact. Why are they doing this? It’s simple. For the past 30 years, industry and government have worked together to ship all the manufacturing jobs out of this country, so a hard-working high school graduate has almost no chance of success.

Then, they conspired to make us all get a degree so we could get a job and now that just gets you in the door for a minimum wage job that a teenager could do in 1975.

If we lived in Conservative Utopia, where would everyone work? The jobs are never coming back. The business owners aren’t going to bring them back and the consumers aren’t willing to pay the high prices for domestic content. Business owners keep demanding more and more work from less and less employees for less money each day, yet they pay the same taxes they paid under Bush (so far). We’ve turned America into a nation for the wealthy elite and the welfare class. There is no room at the table for a working man.

Now, we could lower the standard of living so that our labor costs are low enough to lure jobs back to the US.

And that is EXACTLY what both parties are doing. We are going through a painful contraction of the economy that will end with a large number of Americans permanently on the dole and the rest working like galley slaves to live just a little better than those who live on government checks.

In addition to simply taking money out of our pockets to lower our living standard, they have indoctrinated two generations with global warming, unrealistic body images, and a lifestyle that is unhealthy so that those generations think that every day is armageddon.

Both parties are unwilling to grow the standard of living. They are partners in lowering it. They only differ in the methods and speed of decline.

And that is the big diference. Obama and the Progressive Left want to drive us into a third world lifestyle, raising up the multi-culti peoples as the standard. They want the white middle class punished for past successes in favor of the multi-cultis.

Romney and the Progressive Right want to drive us to European Socialism. That’s not a great place to be, but it gives us a chance of a standard of living that doesn’t include eating our pets.

The “greatest generation” is dying off fast and the Boomers will start dying off soon. Then, the children of the Cold War will die off. The generation after that has been prepared for the hopeless future and they are ready to live the urban survival lifestyle that the future will demand.

Its a bleak, dystopian future, but that’s the way it is. The Conservative is today’s true RINO because the political system has abandoned us as obsolete artifacts of the days of American Greatness. The political parties laugh at our naivete. If you are even a nominal Christian, place your faith in God and give up on the USA. It is dying and political system is feeding it poison as it struggles to live.

From the article: “This website considers the Mormon religion as false doctrine. Period.” It’s nearly impossible to cross the line on criticism of Mitt Romney’s Mormonism at a site where the proprietor dismisses the entire religion as a “false doctrine”.

There are going to be thousands of voters who are curious about mormonism....this is a good advertisement for FR as a site to gather information that is not just propaganda from Salt Lake City.

Welcome in advance, Truth-Seekers! When you get here, just do a site search for users Colofornian, Elsie, greyfoxx39, delacoert, reaganaut and zakeet as the FReepers who have posted much information on mormonism taken directly from the mormon/lds articles, doctrine and leaders. There are many other contributors, but many of the actual threads have been started by the above-named. These threads are providing sourced information on the history of Joseph Smith and the lds church, along with articles on the current state of the religion.

As I voted for Palin last time, I’m voting for Ryan this. I can’t sit back and vote for soetoro by not voting the GOP ticket. It may be unfortunate but it’s true.

That being said, I love FreeRepublic. God Bless the site and God Bless the overall work you do.
