After the election is over, we still have to be able to live with what we’ve done and who we’ve become.

That is why I cannot vote for Slick Romney. That would be a sin too far in my eyes.

When I was growing and developing my worldview and was all gung-ho for Reagan and the GOP, the topics were usually things like fighting the communist tide, a Balanced Budget Amendment, family values, term limits, strong defense, and the like. The GOP sure has devolved since then, and here we have a nominee who supported things from hairbrained cap-and-trade nonsense, socialized medicine, abortion and gay adoption, vocally expressed disdain for the Reagan era, and has had minions viciously trash and undercut the few solid constitutional-conservatives that remain out there.

It just seems so insanely surreal. Sure don’t seem to have a Party reflecting my voice anymore. Sometimes even wonder if there’s much of a country even left worth fighting for anymore. Surreal times.

“place your faith in God and give up on the USA. It is dying and political system is feeding it poison as it struggles to live.”

If you’re going to “Give Up on the USA” no matter how rotten the future looks, you’d best rethink it.

There is NO other country Left to retreat to.

Here we stand, Faith in God is Fine, but Here We STAND, PERIOD!

Thanks Jim.

We all have to do what we think is right for our country, our families and our own peace of mind.

Sorry, Jim. I absolutely, completely, whole-heartedly support the Romney/Ryan ticket for President. Without reservation.

The GOP is about 2 terms away from nominating a transsexual atheist.

I was hoping a year ago when candidates were being screened that we wouldn't be put in this situation.
I don't understand why we didn't have better conservative candidates to pick from. Palin would have been awesome and would have gotten me fired up; but none of the others that ran had much to offer in my opinion.

I am going to focus on working for lower level more local conservative candidates get elected. City council up to House of Representatives.
That's where the real work should be done anyway in my opinion.

Perfect example of Glenn Beck’s “Overton Window.”

The view of what a republican/conservative is, gets moved to the left over time. The rhinos do not see how they have compromised principles in the name of bipartisanship (their view through the window does not allow it).

Sticking with FR. Was the only reliable news I could fit through a tiny bandwidth pipe in Afghanistan.

Stay alert

I trully expect should Romney win, that one will “not be able to swing a dead cat without hitting a Mormon at the White House.” It will be Salt Lake City - Eastern Office.

However, in spite of all the “family friendly” propaganda put out by the LDS mafia. Abortion will go on totally unabated. Homosexuality in the military and society will go on unabated. Non DoD government growth and spending will go on unabated. However, white shirts and narrow ties (and bicycles) will become a fashion trend.

He won’t last beyong one term, and he will so damage the brand of “conservatism” that the democrats will completely rule after him.

Ryan seals the deal for me. I will vote for RR.

I fell for that trick last time, so I will write in Palin again.

Just as long as we keep voting for their candidates, that’s where we’re going. But their days are numbered.

Well, we would be glad to have ya Jim!
I am really torn as to whether to stay here if shtf or head to Mississippi where I can grow things. I figure I’d rather be free, so would just stay here in the great state of Texas!! We may be raking dust but we would have freedom....lol.

I have no problem with your stance and agree with the majority of it - with slight exceptions - pro-small government,...... pro-liberty constitution -

If this were true - all of the nanny state lovers would have been gone years ago - but they are permitted to remain, no matter how ignorant they get with those of us who refuse to accept any of it.

Any one pro-small government and pro-liberty would not support any law that restricts the right of property owners or small businesses -— but they are permitted to flourish here.

I would like to know why?
