I saw the interview. On the Medicare issue, the GOP just has to say that Obama has already taken $716 billion out of Medicare. It is the law. Moreover, current Medicare recipients will be affected by the so-called Death Panel—an unelected group of bureaucrats making life and death decisions. And the only control is that it takes two-thirds of Congress (a very high bar) to overrule its decisions. Otherwise it can do whatever it wants.
Obama steals $700 billion from Medicare retirees (who paid into the system their entire working life) to fund Obamacare and cover those who have paid nothing into the system.
Romney/Ryan will repeal Obamacare and restore the $700 billion back to Medicare and its rightful owners.
Drive it home!
I also saw the panel discussing the interview--Charles Krauthammer made an excellent point--Ryan should not even try to defend HIS budget, but rather defend Romney's, which does not take ANY money from those currently receiving Medicare.
And, I would LOVE to see Romney do an ad showing a wheel-chair bound grandma on the bottom rails of a subway, where two trains--named deficits and unemployment--are ready to collide, with Romney and Ryan rescuing her and announcing:
"Sometimes the only way to save someone fron a trainwreck is to have the courage to stand on the third rail to do it!"
"UDDER FAILURE"...
A picture of Obama's head on a Cow and on the Udder the word Failure...
