Romney slams Obama in tough new speech
The Hill ^ | AUGUST 14, 2012 | Emily Goodin and Justin Sink

Posted on 08/14/2012 6:20:31 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are "what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like."

"Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago," Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.

Romney was responding to Biden's suggestion that the GOP ticket's economic policies would “put y’all back in chains."

The vice president made the remark while campaigning in Virginia, during a discussion of Wall Street regulation.

"They’ve said it. Every Republican’s voted for it. Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they’re proposing. Romney wants to let the — he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules — unchain Wall Street," Biden said. "They’re going to put y’all back in chains. He’s said he’s going to do nothing about stopping the practice of outsourcing."

Romney repeatedly and harshly criticized Team Obama for the remarks.

"His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the Presidency. Another outrageous charge came a few hours ago in Virginia. And the White House sinks a little bit lower," Romney said.

Hmmm, perhaps Mitt is seriously considering running for the presidency.

“put y’all back in chains the dog cage on top of the car." He would have got more mileage.

Why should Chicago be the nation’s toilet?

“Ryan is much better than I originally thought.”

I was lukewarm at first but he is getting better by the day. The team is looking good.

“Why should Chicago be the nation’s toilet?”

Because of the type of people that are there, starting with the man at the top.

Absolutely wrong. It’s RBIs that make the difference. Romeny’s been hitting base hits all along. Ryan’s a homerun.

They just need to keep making singles over and over again. The doubles, triples and homeruns will come naturally. Obama’s a wrecking machine and as the election goes worse for him his liberal loons will just add fuel to the inferno.

Agree, but at least he’s in the game going for the win. Unlike McCain who
Thought he would win playing a nice game.

I beg to differ. Until his VP pick he has been hitting grounders, singles and less then stellar pop flies. Now he has a chance with his pick of a ringer. IMHO

Thank you.

Mitt’s telling Hussein to take his anger and hate back to Chicago was one of the milder things he said about Hussein.

Good to see him promise to get rid of HusseinCare.

I would prefer PROSECUTION of Hussein if he is still in our country after inauguration in January

In all fairness, Mitt HAD to play nice guy for awhile - if he had gone on the attack first, you know the media would have cranked up the old “Republicans are vicious/negative” spin.

By letting Obama do the smearing first, TeamRomney gets sympathy without the smearing.

And Mitt’s advisors DO seem to understand that politics is a blood sport - for the first time in his life, Obama will NOT be getting an affirmative-action free ride - and he won’t be able to handle it.

Get those PVR’s rolling, keep a record of all this.

I will be happy as long as the American people are told the truth about the debt and the future fiscal crisis.

If the American people have reached the point where the majority wants to continue to vote itself entitlements, benefits and handouts from Democrat politicians that pander it to them, than effectively the USA is done as a Democracy and this will be the last generation.

The shame will be that history will not be kind to us for our selfishness and utter disregard for our posterity as every generation before us had sacrificed for theirs.....

This is the perfect pitch since it makes Obama look like an immature divisive baby.

Romney looks like the adult in the room and gaybamas attacks are becoming less and less powerful.

THERE YOU GO AGAIN - is what mittens has to say every time gaybama attacks him and avoids his record of debt, deficit, delay, depression, defamation, despair decline, and deciet.

I literally danced in my family room at 11;15PM when I first heard Ryan was our VP pick. Danced! And Danced, and Danced and Danced, quite honestly! Never been excited about Romney, like most of us... but today I must admit, I am tempted to Dance with Romney's words. I hope he excites me as much as Ryan soon, since his announcement, so far so good!
