Her "joke" illustrates how the self-appointed First Lunch Lady and National Nutritionist feels the need to stick her face where it absolutely doesn't belong.

No it doesn't. Her actions do that...lobbying for legislation...pushing for funding of her pet projects...Shaking down grocers to open stores in non-profitable locations are all perfect illustrations of her unwelcome nannyism. Light hearted banter with a giggly 16YO Olympian isn't.

Her previous actions are precisely why her "joke" wasn't funny and why people are commenting on it. Without her previous actions her "light-hearted banter" would not have excited any interest. When you couple that with the absurdity of a super-sized Michelle lecturing an Olympic gold-medalist about proper diet... well, it's just too much.
