Exactly right.
If Hillary became VP, assuming Obama wins re-election, then she would be sitting VP running for president in 2016, and have to defend all of the policies of the Obama administration.
Actually, the Clintons would be happy to see Obama lose, in that, Hillary would then run in 2016 against a sitting Republican. It’s more difficult to run when you would be replacing a president of your own party, than it is to run against the opposite party’s president.
Nor is she going to come to the rescue of her party.
The Clintons want to deliver a stern lesson to them about what a dreadful, dreadful mistake they made by throwing in behind Barry in ‘08. They want the Dems to come groveling on hands and knees after a particularly humiliating defeat.
I don’t think “Failed policies” would be an issue in 2016 if Obama wins. He would have so many people dependant on welfare, that would be the only issue. And if Hillary’s opponant ran against entitlements in any way she’d secure a victory. IMO.
My thoughts all the way. The clintoons want barry to lose and sure don’t want to have been a part of a second administration for barry then run.
They stand a better chance in the gamble against the pubbies than they do running after barry.
If barry wins they also take the chance of no elections and no country to run for president in.
Hill is going to be an old broad before she runs, if she runs.
This is why I have my doubts about this story. Bill Clinton is too astute to think it would be a launching pad for Hillary. He knows her best chances are to run against Romney in 2016. And it doesn’t matter if Romney is doing a good job. It’s all politics.
