Like I said, you got a better idea? Let’s hear it.
And by the way, you never did say what party you belong to, as you commented earlier that you don’t even belong to Sarah Palin’s party, so enlighten us, ok?

I like this quote also:
If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly;
you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.
There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

What a misplaced quote.
The point of what Mk is saying is simple.
We have two people that can be president come inauguration day in January.
One we know to be the worst, most divisive, most destructive, most radically left, most pro-Marxist, pro-muzzie, pro-death, anti-free enterprise, anti-American, anti-everything we say we love and care for preezie ever.
The other is a candidate none of us liked or preferred for good reason, we just don't trust him because he's not a conservative (understatement).
The one will most certainly ruin this country, likely (IMHO probably) making it impossible for us to thrive again. The one has made us wake up almost daily to something new and outrageous that we know to be horrible and destructive. He's lawless, arrogant, hates America, hates you, hates me, hates most everything we love and stand for.
That you don't understand the difference between a place marker like Romney, and a destroyer like Bambi is to your discredit. That you don't understand there is a real reason, amply demonstrated for the past 4 years, to fear another four of the same is somewhat amazing to me.
Mk has this 100% correct, he doesn't care for Mitt, but the alternative that you are suggesting (Bambi for another four years) is simply unthinkable and totally illogical.

See post 64. While you are signing up for the Mitt Romney cruise, others are fighting for conservatism.

Thank you Lakeshark, as two FReepers who at one time a long time ago (meaning you and I) were at each other’s throats, it should demonstrate that there comes a time when we put aside our differences to face and to fight a common enemy.
Donald Rumsfeld said “you go to war with the army you got” and while we may not be real enthused about General Romney, our choice is to either fight 0bama, or turn tail and run for the hills. You and I are going to fight, regardless of our personal views on the guy at the top of the ticket. We’ve got one of our own right up there near the top (Paul Ryan), and that tells me that we at least have a voice up there.
To the doubters, naysayers and contrarians, I say “if you won’t fight now, when WILL you fight?”
And as always LS “thanks for your support”. ;)

You're preaching to the choir. I have been among the loudest in the past reminding others that FR is NOT a GOP site, it is a conservative site.
There comes a time however when, after stuffing the wadding and the cannon ball into the barrel, you either fire the damn thing, or the battle passes you by, and your efforts, words and actions end up meaning nothing because the battle has been lost due to your indecisiveness and your inaction.
So who are you going to vote for?

I pinged you because we have been in sync in the past and you were one of the ones debating with Mk about his vanity.
The idea is simple: giving Bambi four more years to finish his destruction is a horrible idea that needs to be rethought.

Like Hell. The Army that is being fielded on the political battlefield in November happens to be led by Romney & Ryan and the GOP, I'm fighting with my vote to throw 0bama out on his ass, you can sit on the sidelines and moan and weep about all the things you don't like about the only candidates with a shot at getting rid of the Marxist slob, but THAT is the number one priority, and if you're not part of the answer, you're part of the problem.

I'm going to suggest the fight we should have is more with Bambi than the GOPe. You seem to have forgotten that the one is out to destroy us, the other is simply misguided.
Our political fight should be two-fold: We have to remove Bambi, his minions, and his stain from the presidency. It's simply ridiculous to claim Romney would be the same, or that we need to have four more years of total destruction to give the GOPe a lesson. At the same time we are getting rid of Bambi we need to fight for more conservatives in congress (house and senate), so that we can effectively pressure Romney/Ryan to come closer to their promises.
It's a win-win. Opposing Romney/Ryan will depress our turnout for the secondary races, and will inadvertently hurt what you claim you want to help.
Mk is fighting, you're submitting to the yoke of despair and destruction that Axelrod wants you to........

You are free to believe the absolute worst about Romney. I suspect you could write some commercials for Obama. He could certainly use some better ones.

I would argue that so far as the current presidential race is concerned the fight is over. The boat has sailed. Beating a dead horse after you begin to see patches of pink goo accomplishes nothing.
