It's not only Palin who supports Romney/Ryan, it's Newt, Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, Cain, literally every single candidate that was considered a conservative by major swaths of people on FR, every single one of them supported by major groups of people on FR; every single one of these candidates has taken the position you so nicely put in your vanity.

Welcome to the (somewhat reluctant), ABO group!

Thanks for working through your decision on the forum where all can see.

My thoughts are not very different from yours, though you have reached a conclusion, while I'm still on the outside looking in with mine.

Had Romney chosen someone other than Paul Ryan for VP, I don't think I would be inclined to agree with you about supporting Romney. His choosing Ryan makes my supporting Romney possible.

Sarah Palin made it possible to vote for McShame, but I didn't believe they were all that alike in philosophy or actions.

Watching Romney and Ryan together, I see important similarities between them and, since I respect and like Ryan, this makes me a bit more comfortable with Romney.

Lastly, as an aspiring craftsman, I usually know which is the right tool for the job at hand.

Unfortunately, the tool chest doesn't have the exact tool we need fix what is broken, so we're stuck with the tool the GOPe has given us.

We might be able to make it work, but the down ticket votes and a lot of voter oversight these next few years will increase the likelihood of that happening.

Your selling out conservative principals openly on FREE REPUBLIC, but it is me that needs keep quiet? We’ve surely left Absurd-ville station and are approaching Surreal-ville junction....

I don't personally know any conservative 'principals' although I remember one of my vice principals Robert Zimmerman who was a dyed in the wool Republican.

Here is what is absurd: you are telling people to "keep quiet" about voting for the only viable alternative to 0bama in the general election, but you are going to vote for Virgil Goode, who is the ONLY candidate who may actually have a shot at tilting Virginia's electoral votes into the 'Rat column and possibly insuring 0bama's re-election.

Are you prepared to live with your conscience if you end up being a part of that?

'May God have mercy on your soul.'

>>>”If obama should be re elected how long before ....IP addresses are harvested from FR by executive order”>>>>>

I have considered this and the many times I have insulted “the one” on FR and in personal emails. Romney/Ryan won't do it but O certainly would do it.

We need to shout that possibility to all those who are too “pure” to vote R/R, especially in states that might be in danger of going for the democrat.

So may we presume that you stand with Sarah Palin then?

Let the record show that ansel12 either refused, or was incapable of answering the question, choosing instead to evade the issue.

Are you certain Virgil Goode is a conservative? I’m not:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgil_Goode

This reads like a typical which-way-is-the-wind-blowing politician. He entered politics right after law school and he’s been there ever since. He’s an opportunist, not a constitutionalist and they’re even spelled differently.

He’s a repeat political loser and I suspect someone on the Left is paying for his campaign. He’s doing nothing, but throwing the election in VA to Obama. What’s conservative about that?

This is a goof, not a guy to form a new party out of.

Is this how you think?

Is this the kind of childish game playing that led you to becoming a devoted Romney supporter?

You know that I don’t agree with the Republican governor, and the republican party’s 2008 vice-presidential nominee, on supporting the 2012 republican ticket, because that is the very discussion that you and I are having, right now, my opposition to the 2012 ticket, but I always knew that the republican leader would of course endorse her party’s 2012 ticket, who didn’t.

I don’t even belong to her party, but this waste of time of this interchange where you already know the answers, is childish beyond belief.

Lookee here, I'm not a 'devoted Romney supporter' as you so quaintly put it, I will pull the lever for Romney & Ryan because the alternative is unacceptable and should be unthinkable for any true conservative to contemplate.

I don’t even belong to her party

You don't say! What party DO you belong to then?

Good gosh man, you are running vanity threads now for Mitt Romney, you are one of the most dedicated, devoted Romney supporters on FR, at this time.

Look at the nastiness and hostility that you lash out with at people who don’t share your devotion.

We are on your vanity thread devoted to Mitt Romney, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, as you strive to persuade conservatives like Jim Robinson and other freepers to join you and Mitt Romney.

He can’t see what he is doing, he is blinded by fear. I will no longer vote out of fear. I’ve voted for my last RINO.

So he is blinded by fear? What is it that you are blinded by?

Why is it you cannot see what 4 more years of obama will do to our country and to us as individuals?

Good gosh man, you are running vanity threads now for Mitt Romney

Are you smoking something, or seeing double or triple? I posted ONE vanity explaining why I will vote Romney-Ryan in November and you (and a few others) are going crazy like a sh*t house rat.

you are one of the most dedicated, devoted Romney supporters on FR, at this time.

Is that a fact? Well that proves that you are living in a land of delusions, because up until recently I was still in the 'ABR' camp, but you indulge your fantasies any way you want to.

Look at the nastiness and hostility that you lash out with at people who don’t share your devotion.

Oh cry me a river. I have been more than restrained in my responses to some of the mad dogs who have leaped into this thread to sling ad hominems around, and you should consider the words of a wise man, Finley Peter Dunne, who said "politics ain't beanbag", so grow a hide, Clyde.

We are on your vanity thread devoted to Mitt Romney

You love slinging that 'devoted' word around don't you? This isn't about being 'devoted' to anything except the Constitution of the United States and the remnants of our Republic, which IF 0bama is re-elected in November, stands a very good chance of no longer existing. Give your head a shake.

AT THIS VERY MOMENT, as you strive to persuade conservatives like Jim Robinson and other freepers to join you and Mitt Romney.

I would never pretend to persuade JimRob of anything. He has made his position abundantly clear, and I respect his position. Every conservative has to vote their conscience. If they cannot in good faith vote for the only candidates that have a viable shot at defeating 0bama and his minions, then they have to vote for whoever their candidate is, and live with that decision. Any casual review of my past posts regarding Mitt Romney will reveal that I was as rabid an 'anti-Mitt' as the best of them, so I take no back seat to anyone in that regard.

The choice is unpleasant in November, however it is the only choice we have: we either vote against 0bama by casting our votes for the only alternative with a realistic chance of winning, i.e., the GOP - or by default we give our votes to 0bama.

You got a better idea? Let's hear it.

It would appear that if there is any 'fear' in this thread, it is your fear which prevents you from pinging the FReeper you're running your piehole about behind their back. Not to worry, I'm watchin' you.

As for 'voting for your last RINO', what you're really saying is that by casting your vote for Virgil Goode, you're voting for 0bama's stalking horse in Virginia, and if that gambit plays out the way the 'Rats hope it will, you will be part of the reason we may end up facing 4 more years of the Kenyan douche bag.

Won't you be proud of yourself.

Nice post.
Posted in your vanity thread on Jim Robinson’s freerepublic, and devoted to Mitt Romney.

When it reaches your level of personal effort and promotion, that is true dedication to a candidate.

You have emerged as one of the most devoted promoters and supporters of Mitt Romney on the freepublic site.

To quote Jim Robinson from his post #64, on this, your personal thread devoted to serving Mitt Romney.

“”My only comment is I will not vote FOR a known abortionist/homosexualist, gun-grabbing, big government socialist/statist. That would betray everything I believe in and promote. Would make a mockery of FR just as it’s making a mockery of the GOP as a conservative political force.””
