Indonesia set to leave Islam in about two decades
ffi.org ^ | 7/23/2012 | FFI Editor

Every year, about two million Indonesians leave Islam for Christianity. Other Indonesians leave Islam and adopt other religions or become agnostics or atheists.

This trend is likely to continue in Indonesia, and all across the Islamic world. I do believe many of the larger Islamic countries will “officially” leave Islam by 2030. Islam is a barbaric religion that imposes its will on the individual. People may take that for a while. Then rebellion comes. Then revolutions that dig out the stump of the tree of Islam from its roots, and cut that stump into minute pieces. It will never see life again. I see that already happening in our days in Iran as well as Indonesia.

Because of that, Muslims try to create entities to postpone Islam’s death. Those ignoramouses do not know what is good for them. One such group is in Indonesia. They are known, at least for now, by the name “Save Maryam”. Make no mistake, this is an evil group that seeks to force Islam on everyone’s throat. The video below is supposedly one of theirs

Ask any Christian Indo emigrant who fled the church burnings and bombings, rapes and killing by moslems in Indonesia now living in the USA: they will tell you it`s all BS.

I concur with this. I am living in Indonesia now, Sentani, Papua to be more precise, and I see more moslems now than I did fifteen years ago. I hear more mosques now, too. Imwould be very surprised if Indonesia as a whole left islam.

Makes me kinda wonder if the next war will me Moslems attacking Mexicans, who prefer to follow the ideology of Azlatin (sp?)

Aztlan*, like islam, is more a political and cultural movement appealing to the primitive tendency to violence and mayhem.

Whether members of Aztlan or not, the Mexicans will fight back with all the ferocity of primitive tribalism.

As for Islam, their ultimate fate is that of Carthage. Our language is familiar with the phrase Cartago delanda est as a blueprint for the civilized world.

*Aztlan is a totally American fabrication. Mostly a large, violent gang like the drug cartels with an infantile excuse.

Spain was controlled and broke free, but I’m not sure I would have considered it an Islamic country.

What an odd statement to make. The question is too complex for a simple yes or no answer. Ignorance of history creates all sorts of mischief. Even fictionalized history like Michener's Iberia is better than none at all.

First of all, Modern Spain and al Andalus are neither synonymous nor coincident.
The short answer infuriates Spaniards (I was married to one for over 20 years.)
Islam ruled over (varying parts of) Spain much longer than Spain has been the country that we "know" today.

1400 years hasn't been enough?

The US will become Islamic long before Indonesia becomes Christian -- unless Christians start doing something about it.

All it takes to control the populace is a small group of “terrorists” that single out and kill people.

It never made sense to me why islam, an insane arab desert death cult, took hold in south east asia.

Simple. Conversion by the sword. Look at the Saudi flag for proof.

Right. Like for the last FOURTEENHUNDRED years or so.

Then rebellion comes.

Right again. Like the swing to an even more fundamentalist islam in most of northern Africa (and parts of sub-saharan Africa) these days.

Fortunately for the author, in 2030 no one will remember his foolish utterings of today.

“The Mote in God’s Eye”

Man, it’s been decades since I read that book. I’ve definitely got to dust it off again. I do think about it once in a while.

I believe we are headed towards a very bloody denouement between the forces of radical islam and what's left of Western civilization.

That's my belief too.

It sadly shows how quickly the masses can be indoctrinated to a religion. Even if the first ones fake it, by the time the next generation comes along it’s hardcore accepted and that’s that.

Hers’s another ‘take’ on Indonesia - and how Muslim they are:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2918555/posts?page=12

Three of the most populous Muslim countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan—all scored above 70% agreement on the oneness of Islamic doctrine, a level of orthodoxy that tracks well with Pakistan’s jihadist image, but may come as a jolt to those who still think that Islam’s East Asian strongholds are somehow more willing to diverge from core Islamic doctrine than their Middle Eastern co-religionists.

In fact, Indonesian Muslims’ 72% level of agreement that there is “only one true way to interpret” Islam places them just a few points behind Egypt and Jordan, with 78% and 76%, respectively. It was the Sub-Saharan African Muslims who posted the strongest display of Sharia adherence, however: All 16 survey countries from Mali and Nigeria in West Africa to Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique and Tanzania in the east scored above the 50% mark of agreement on the “one true” interpretation question.

Hhh... your statement really demean not only the newly convert Christians but also Christ Himself. It basically says you don’t believe that the Holy Spirit works on many Indonesians that have been called to Him.

I’m not saying there’s no fake conversion, but a blanket statement such as yours really will only result in closing the door for evangelizing the Indonesians. BTW, the biggest denomination of Indonesian church is HKBP, a Lutheran church brought by German missionaries to Batak ethnic, particularly Nommensen. His works only showed their fruits in late 19th century, and early 20th century. Even the predominantly Christian regions (Maluku, Sulawesi Utara, Sumatra Utara, Papua, etc) adopted Christianity only in 18-19th century. If we follow your suggestion, only Fransiskus Xaverius Satiman, the earliest known Indonesian Christian, can be considered ‘legitimate’.

Di masa depan, mungkin lebih baik jika Anda menulis hal2 yg Anda kuasai. Tulisan seperti ini bisa membawa masalah tambahan untuk orang Kristen di Indonesia. Masalah mereka sudah cukup banyak. Tuhan berkati.

Evidently you haven`t heard the lastest news from Aceh.

I have never met one genuine Indo muslim convert in all my 20 years dealing with thousands of Indonesian immigrants here from San Francisco to LA., in Toronto, in Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, Virginia, etc/., ...

Neither have my Indo friends here. Where are these converts? All in Indonesia?- Are they allowed to leave the country? Then if so they and their families are marked for retribution already by the muslim fanatics there. Actually it is just the opposite- young christian girls and their families are forced conversions in villages to become moslem or they will be harrassed, their houses burned, daughters raped etc. Are you living in LALA land?

I only met one muslim-to-catholic convert in all my life in USA- He was an Afghani who lasted only about 2 months here in SF bay area before he disappeared. There were no more Afghani converts after that.

I did meet and knew for several years an Indo Catholic priest whose father was muslim and mother was catholic. But none of the parishoners trusted him one inch, period. I never said that the Holy Spirit does not work, - I only said beware the wolf in sheep`s clothing.

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves (Matt. 7:15).

This is one of those stories like how the Japanese are on the cusp of a big conversion.

Not true.

If you don’t completely understand what I write in Bahasa Indonesia, ask your Indonesian friend to translate it for you.

Don’t let your experiences with false converts prevent thirsty souls from coming to Him. Satan is very smart, and he uses people experiences to demean His work.

I don’t believe large numbers of Indonesians are abandoning Islam.
Wherever it can, Islam destroys all other religions.

But Egypt has moved closer to Islam, not away from it.

The Muslim Brotherhood and al Queda are financed with Arab oil money. Once that oil money finally runs out, and there is no money to subsidize the radical madrassahs, and to pay the salaries of the radical clerics, and to pay the rent on the radical mosques, then Islam is in trouble.

The way Islam is set up is if you don’t submit, you become a 2nd class citizen and have to pay the dhimmi tax, so people just convert out of convenience.

Islam is very similar to Communism, in the sense that you have the elites and the non-productive underclass working together to enslave the productive middle class, with the underclass acting as enforcers.

Besides the tax on non-Muslims (the "jizya"), you also have the Muslim middle-class having to pay the zakat, which essentially is a 2.5% tax on ASSETS. The money goes to pay for the "poor", the clerics, and people engaged in jihad. The people receiving zakat will kill in order to keep receiving it.
