Medically it is not correct. There is no such “reproduction shuts down” mechanism. The egg doesn’t care if the sperm comes from one’s much beloved husband, or a brutal pervert holding a gun.

For the record, ALL studies done before the heinous Roe decision showed that there was a 1% or less chance of a woman becoming pregnant by FORCIBLE rape. It’s pointless to discuss such a thing now. Best, Bob

I believe he has women confused with rabbit does, an easy enough mistake to make if one has not quite grasped the difference.

exactly....it is possible that the stress of a rape can delay ovulation....IF ovulation has not already been set in motion.
Ovulation can be delayed due to illness, hormonal imbalance, emotional and physical stress.

Perhaps, PERHAPS, this is what he was trying to get at.

But instead it sounded like he was describing some mysterious rape protection mode that ladies have.
Very strange.

If ovulation has already occurred - the sperm and the egg don’t give a rip how everything wound up mixed together.

"Medically it is not correct."

That is not exactly true, the process and biology are quite complicated. So if the female in question did in fact have a loving husband her chances of being impregnated by a rapist are considerable less than a more or less celibate single female. It turns out that not all sperm make a mad swim for the egg, some hang back, block and attack "foreign" sperm. I offer this as just one instance of how complicated the process really is.
