I have never supported romney, railed against him a lot during the primaries, especially after bloody Thursday. Had decided...on principle, not to vote for president in this election at all, just conservatives downticket. Kept far, far away from the political threads so as not to say anything that could be construed as an attack on any of my Freeper friends who had decided to vote romney because I like and respect MOST of them and did not want to insult, flame, or belittle them because they are mostly staunch conservatives and just because their opinion differed from mine, that did not make them any less conservative.
Kept my own counel on this UNTIL romney picked Ryan as his VP. It actually shocked me. It was completely unexpected and I think it was the first time I even considered that maybe, just maybe, romney would follow through on at least some of the promises he was making...that maybe, just maybe, I could vote for him without losing my CONSERVATIVE soul.
I do NOT want romney as president, but every day that obama remains in office brings more corruption and further trauma to the American psyche and the Constitution that he is singlehandedly destroying with his myriad ‘strokes’ of the pen’. There is no way my conscience can stay on idle and let this man take my country to HIS ultimate destination. I just can’t do it.
I believe that romney WILL repeal obamacare; will open our coal mines and tap our oil and gas resources; will better handle our economy, and most of all, stop the dismantling and betrayal of our military. These things are of immense importance. I KNOW what obama will do and never want anyone to think I sat by and did nothing while he does it.

I mostly agree, especially about not wanting Romney for pres when there were others much more suited to the conservative cause.

Unfortunately it looks like he's what we have versus the turkey that's in the WH now. Hopefully Romney will follow through with what he's stated, if not we'll be in a world of hurt.

I'm not predicting doom for our great nation but if he doesn't fulfill his promises it'll make it much more difficult for our nations recovery.
