The official added that some of Egypts moves, such as sending tanks into Sinai, had not been carried out in co-ordination with Israel, but declined to give more details.
Zvi Mazel, a former Israeli ambassador to Egypt, said: This is not a good omen. Nobody has tried to violate the peace treaty in the past 33 years.

Egypt got a whole lot of mileage out of that terrorist attack. Removed its military leaders, took control of the military and militarized the Sinai. Notice how they have not carried out any attacks on the supposed terrorist cells working in the Sinai.
