LOL, are you serious? Take a walk around town and stop 10 people randomly and ask them who Todd Akin is.
I guarantee you 9 of them will not know. The idea a candidate for a Senate seat can have an impact on a presidential election is pure nonsense.

Not familiar with the phrase, myself. You? If he backs out and Missouri is left with only a write-in opportunity to unseat McCaskill, the election will indeed be lost. Only by Akin staying in the race do conservatives maintain a shot at that Senate seat in this cycle.
