When the Tea Parties appeared on the scene in 2009, some argued that they seemed to be the second coming of the supporters of H. Ross Perot --- right-leaning but wary of the traditional leadership of the Republican party, deeply concerned about budgetary and debt issues, and generally disgusted with Washington and incumbents.

Nope, that was Todd Akin.
I remember when Cher Bono (now a crazy old Botoxed broad) called in to the Larry King Live show when Ross Perot was on and gave her support.
His reality television show with Larry King was cancelled, and he was replaced by "The Donald" Trump who seems to appear on a lot of different shows.
Even though most billionaires appear to be buffoons, the audience for such buffoons seem to only allow for one billionaire buffoon to have his own regular reality show. If billionaire buffoons like Buffett, Gates, or Zuckerberg would like to have their own show, they will have to wait until the nation tires of the Donald.
I tired of the Donald a long time ago, Billionaire Buffoons just ain't my cup of Tea Party.
if you say so...
just keep him where ever he is and keep him quiet...
his day has come and gone..
he is HISTORY
He went off his rocker then ran for President.
“Just imagine had Ross won the election...No Nafta...No WTO...No one world govt...No globalisation...”
And a GDP that is probably 20% less than it is today. The things you mentioned are hardly one way positives (the one world government doesn’t fit with the other three) for our economy.
He’s screaming that he wants more raisins in his pudding. The staff doesn’t have the heart to tell him he’s eating flies. Thanks Ross! Thanks for 8 years of Slick Willy and years of the Democrats taking credit for the good economy that the Republicans left them.
Like him or not, he’z done a hell of allot more than most for our economy and our nation.
Folks that worked for Ross Perot knew him to be stern and principled, yet compassionate to the bone.
Perot IS a true American patriot.
The Perots are award winning fund raisers for Planned Parenthood.
Indeed. After leaving the Air Force in mid-1979 I started at his company. It was self-insured then, my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time, and I hadn't been there long enough for full coverage. When my daughter was born the division manager pulled me aside and told me to track every medical expense incurred for the delivery; the company would take care of it. They did.
It could be a tough place to work but Ross was a fair man and took care of his people. He may have been sidetracked in later years and I wish he hadn't decided to run for President, but I still have a lot of respect for him.
I thought he was still in his spider hole.
maybe he will run for President again so Obama can cruise to a second term. How many around here who are worried about Romney’s pro choice inclinations would flock to Perot? Probably quite a few.
No, Perot was very upfront about his plans to raise taxes. His candidacy ensured the election of Bill Clinton, who was also pretty clear about his intention to raise taxes. Perot got Clinton in there, and came back four years later to make sure Clinton stayed in. So, he made sure a fellow tax raiser and abortion supporter made it two terms. Great job. World class, even.
Yep. Wrong on that, right on the economy. I wish he wasn't supportive of that wretched organization. That's one thing about him that I just do not like.
Have you read “On Wings of Eagles”? Perot personally sneaked into Iran to help rescue two employees held by the radical muslims. The guy was gutsy. Years later I met one of his inner circle that went into Iran for that operation. Hearing his inside story of events was spellbinding.
I’ve read it and still have the book. One day Ross had a book signing for employees. The line was long but I had an urgent software problem to fix at the time so I missed out on it.
I wasn’t a fan of his statement that he would go door to door confiscating guns, either.
I’ll be attending a dinner for the Perot Museum opening in Texas this November. I hope I get to meet the man. One thing about Perot - - I never got the impression he was corrupt. I think he honestly believed he could do the job better than Clinton or Bush.
Really??? Shirley you jest...We are minus millions of jobs due to those things that Perot was against...
