I don’t get it. For comedy to work, there has to be a grain of truth somewhere. The Romneys have no history of drug use, and their names are not unusual, except Tagg. The others are Ben, Josh, Matt, and Craig, btw. (I looked it up.) The stupid joke doesn’t make sense at any level.

I don't "get it". As Mormons, I doubt they even drink coffee. Maybe the groupthinking liberal audience laughed because they all didn't want anyone to think they didn't get the joke, either.

Right, that’s what I was thinking. It’s like a warmed over joke, really meant to be used at another time, for another purpose.

Maybe it’s a left-over anti-Palin joke, her kids have some unusual names. But again, I think your point about no history of drug use would also make it not too funny there either.

Pathetic, really.
