Juan Williams and the False Moral Equivalency of the Obama Campaign
American Thinker ^ | August 29,2012 | Otto Sorenson

Posted on 08/29/2012 1:53:29 PM PDT by p. henry

In the August 28 edition of The Hill, Juan Williams asserts that claims by the President's cxampaign that Mitt Romeny is a felon who has not paid taxes in years and who caused the death of a steelworker's wife are morally equivalent to signs at the Republican Convention which display the phrase "We Built It."

The Whiner-In-Chief is complaining about the slogan used at the Republican Convention.

“The GOP willfully ignored the preceding four sentences in that quote and focused solely on “you didn’t build that,” he complains.

The poor misunderstood President. He thinks the GOP is making a big deal over his crack that if you own a business “you didn’ build that” saying it was taken out of context.

Of course when taken IN context, it gets worse.

Need they be reminded that the preceding sentences, “I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there,” which negate any contribution by the business builder from the success of the business?

He would have us believe it is not effort or good decision-making that creates a business, it is the government provided education and government built infrastructure.

It’s ridiculous without even considering that a business builder is already paying taxes to pay for education and infrastructure. Nancy and Brad and John and I built my business, so I know how it happened. And it wasn’t their silver spoon theory either, as I am sure you all know. It’s time to dump this guy.

Wish Fox would’ve never made him so prominent on the various shows after he was fired at NPR.

Whatever Obama meant and however he meant to say it, it was just a dumbass remark for two irrefutable reasons.

1. The more successful pay more in taxes to contribute toward infrastructure than the less successful.

2. All the common infrastructure that was available to the more successful was also available to the less successful.

And it is necessary for the liberal/socialist/communist to minimize the achievements of the successful and to maximize the excuses for the unsuccessful, otherwise their entire philosophy will be seen as the mountain of nonsense that it actually is.

That’s Obama was really doing that day.

Juan is grasping at straws, in hopes of saving credibility as Lib commentator.

Also, he is sad to see his hopes dashed, for first AA Prez.

When Juan Williams is on-screen on Fox News Channel, I change channel to something more positive. He is a Fox liability in my opinion.

Juan Williams can kiss my grits after he referred to "your boy Romney" on the Five last week.

I used to like him, but he's become as shrill and unpleasant as alan colmes.

I cannot stand this vile man. He must sleep with a picture of Obama under his pillow.

I’m surprised that Fox gives him the opportunity to defend and spread obamas lies. He and Beckel need to go to CNN where their vile filth will be appreciated.

Well, we can find out if Obama meant what he said. I’m sure he’d be willing to have a polygraph. I think we know what the polygraph would indicate if Obama said he didn’t mean what he said. The machine would say LIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fox is pandering. I’ve turned them off a week or so ago and haven’t looked back.

Fox, in my not so humble opinion, exists as a “foil” for the other TV “news” channels. It is like a bunch of people who weigh one thousand pounds each pointing at a five hundred pounder and screaming that “Skinny” over there is evil because he doesn’t weigh as much as they do.

Fox has a flaming gay front man, a screwball Ted Baxter clone, a subdued version of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and that is all I can say since I don’t watch any longer. It is all ridiculous.

I am SO glad Fox continues to provide a platform for people like Williams and Beckel. Every time they put these absurd extremists next to reasonable people our side wins a small but tangible victory.

If only they could get Chrissy Mathews on board. Being associated with his style of moon bat dementia would have liberals all over the country either reconsidering their association or gong into hiding.

Precisely.

Why can't people here not see this?
