She was a terrible Sec. of State in the Bush Years. My opinion as well, and I'm a major Condi fan. She was awfully good as head of the National Security Council, though, IMHO. A bit too cerebral for popular appeal if the topic is electoral politics, but in a position such as U.S. Ambassador to the UN, it would be fascinating to see which side of her would emerge, the internationalist or the exceptionalist. I'd love to see her as Ambassador to Russia, too. It's her specialty, she's fluent in the language, and she just might kick Pooty's butt for him.

I suppose you are correct that she is not a flaming liberal, simply another of the “modern” GOP average liberals, in favor of abortion, illegals, and giving Muslims special rights.

I'm sure she's doing a good job at Stanford. She'd be better than the two current California senators, but I've read that she wants to run the NFL.
