TAMPA, August 31, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney delivered his acceptance speech at the GOP convention Thursday night, laying out his vision for a Romney presidency.
Mr. Chairman, delegates. I accept your nomination for president of the United States of America, Romney said. I do so with humility, deeply moved by the trust you have placed in me. It is a great honor. It is an even greater responsibility.
In a speech focusing mainly on the countrys economic quandary and his own life history, Romney inserted a reference to social issues, pledging to protect life and marriage if made president.
As president, I will protect the sanctity of life. I will honor the institution of marriage.”
In a reference to the HHS mandate, he said, “And I will guarantee Americas first liberty: the freedom of religion.
Romney also touted his wifes role as the mother of five boys, saying that even as he was working building his business, I knew that her job as a mom was harder than mine. And I knew without question, that her job as a mom was a lot more important than mine.
Earlier this year, a Democratic advisor provoked a media firestorm after criticizing Ann Romneys decision to be a stay-at-home. Hilary Rosen told CNNs Anderson Cooper that Mrs. Romney, has actually never worked a day in her life, echoing a similar charge Teresa Heinz Kerry made against Laura Bush in 2004.
Mrs. Romney rose to her own defense, tweeting, I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.
In last nights speech Romney also renewed his pledge to repeal and replace Obamas health care reform law, conventionally known as “ObamaCare,” a law that has been heavily criticized by pro-life leaders for funding abortion.
My gosh man, give up the LSD.
We are on the same side Ansel12. I have no problem discussing the more obscure backgrounds of this guy or anyone else who runs for high office.
And you would be wrong, very wrong.
Romney is a temple Mormon, only about 15% reach that level in the hierarchy of LDS.
He has received awards for being a good example of what a Mormon should be.
The conflict for most people is that their a perception of Mormonism which is incorrect, Romney has not governed his life either personally or political that is contradictory to Mormonism.
Apparently you know little to nothing of Mormonism.
Romney’s position on abortion is not contrary to the teachings of Mormonism.
Well, I suppose it seems that way, but he’s terribly wealthy. Did you ever realize what a ripe plum LDS mormons are for conmen?

But you aren’t discussing anything, you are just posting rambling, incoherent nonsense, you aren’t having a discussion with anyone.
BTW, roylene, what you do in LDS Is not generally applicable throughout Mormonism. Other groups are certainly more reflective of the tradition and therefore much more authentic, not that you aren’t authentic, but seriously now.
But ansell12, your doctrine that if you’ve never heard of it it doesn’t mean anything is a very dangerous doctrine. All kind of things are happening right under your nose all the time ~
The Romney family immigrated to the US, to be with Smith’s new religion, then fled to Mexico so they could continue the practice polygamy.
The Romney family from the beginning have been near royalty in LDS.
No one had any ties with LDS before Smith because there was no LDS before Smith.
Where are these ramblings of yours coming from?
Pray about it (abortion) and if God says its ok its ok.
That is not pro-life.
LDS is Mormonism, they are one in the same.
Seriously, where are these ramblings coming from?
Are you drunk?
Just where did you think he got those Carlos Castenada quality visions?
They were also big time into finding gold ~ still are ~ some of them live right there along the Yukon so they can engage in that practice from spring break to Fall freeze.
I am very well aware you folks read the Church of the First Born statements in the Doctrines and Covenants in a spiritual way ~ I read them as concerning real people and real events in Smiths life FROM BEFORE the time he created his church.
It's all in your own records.
You do know about the Whitmer family and Brooks? Right? They scammed Joseph Smith himself! This didn't stop with his death.
Your inability to make sense, or to express yourself, does not mean that the person you are posting at has a “doctrine”.
You are merely incoherent and rambling, you don’t know how to express yourself in a way that makes sense and is understandable, out of the blue, you just started babbling.
ansell12 ~ don’t make it any worse on yourself.
Hmmmm ~ can't help you with that problem. Sounds like a doctrinal problem. Best handled with an excommunication or something.
You people?
Smith was a fraud and confidence man. Started a religion so he could bed underage girls and other men’s wives.
He was arrested and convicted of scams.
He was a thief, liar, adulterer, bigamist, abortionist, drunk, a seer.........anything he could do to con people and the Romney’s were there at the beginning.
I know the history of Mormonism.
Your posts are so disjointed and ranting as to be incoherent.
You are delusional, that’s the only explanation.
Your inability to explain yourself or your conspiracy theory, means that you don’t truly understand it.
I thought i told you these guys recruit. They like to jump in there with some of the disaffected or disaffiliated and use them.
