If the Iranian threat to Israel was so serious, why doesn't Netanyahu do something about it instead of whining that Barack Obama isn't doing something about it?

why doesn't Netanyahu do something about it instead of whining that Barack Obama isn't doing something about it? Because of the anti-Israel sentiment in the area and the extended war on Israel that could result if she attacked and the US wasn't behind her? Israel is a nation much less equipped for unilateral full-on war than the US.
Isn't that quite obvious?
