It is really difficult to see where this road leads. Sadly Israel does not have a lot of friends at this time and really needs to be able to count on the USA to watch it's back. Something tells me Obama is very reluctant to do so. In fact I think Obama is hostile to Israel and secretly sides with Islam. An Israelly strike in Iran would force him out of the closet and reveal him to be an anti-Semitic.
Unfortunately for Israel things will end badly if the USA does nothing helpful.

I'm betting the Israeli Prime Minister put the U.S. on notice that things will end badly for us if we don't get our ducks in a row. To have a Prime Minister directly meet with, and discuss these issues in a confrontational manner with an Ambassador means only one thing. Israel desired to send a clear and unambiguous message: Time. Has. Run out. Israel will strike at a time of its choosing. American elections be damned. Political considerations no longer matter. We have been put on notice. It's 0300 hrs. The phone is ringing.
