Cutting to the chase; the point I was making was, you expect entirely too much from people as shallow as rank and file Democrats. They're not going to nominate the 'old lady' of their party four years hence, when she's even more worn out and even more irrelevant than she is today.
Sure, she's got the right leftist ideology for them, but she doesn't have the 'it' factor, which means even more to them. Their 'thinking' (in the way of presidential preferences) is even more superficial than the hollow platitudes and buzz words that pass for reasoning amongst them.
