(It reminds me of some Pacific Island that stones anybody who mentions tsunami risk, and moving the village to higher ground. "Don't anger the sea gods with such talk!")
And to think, "Night Fighting 101" and "When the Music Stops" are nothing more than setups to "What I saw at the coup," which is what I really want folks on the other side to read. Now that I have the Wonkettes' attention, the chance of that has increased a lot. Currently, that bit of short fiction comes in at a thousand words longer than Music Stops.
"What I saw at the coup" is dedicated thusly:
"Short-fuse fiction by Matt Bracken, intended to cause grave alarm among die-hard progressives, in the spirit of dispiriting them from ever attempting such a mad folly in order to cling to power."
is that archived at western rifle ??? or could ya ping a link please ???
Where can I read “What I saw at the Coup”?
(I have been horribly busy and can barely make it on FR more than a few minutes here and there. I want to make sure I read all the good stuff.)
