That lawsuit has been in the works since 2009, long before Axelrod got huffy at Gallup in April of this year.

DOJ is suing Gallup to recover taxpayer money that it’s owed due to Gallup’s (alleged) overbilling.
— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) September 6, 2012
The lawsuit arose because a former Gallup employee noted that Gallup overcharges for its government contracts.

This isn’t journalism. It’s innuendo.

I wouldn’t go that far. Boyle’s piece is more analysis than journalism, and the stories of Axelrod’s gripe and the DoJ lawsuit against Gallup are both interesting. This just looks like an effort to connect dots that simply aren’t connectable.
Problem is: I'll bet their internals already over sample democrats....
Of course it is. “Chicago way.” Who doubts it?
I’m sure the Gallup people know the truth, as do all the other big polling companies.
I’m guessing Moody’s and S&P were given the same message a couple of years ago.
Gallup has nothing if it caves to Obama’s extortion. They will never have credibility again.
"It's not the nature of the evidence, but the seriousness of the charge."
The DoJ is saying that der Fuehrer did not get the fixed results he paid for.
FUBO & FAD
if they win this thing by cheating(they ARE cheating...but they may not win) we need to consider alternatives...and it is time for the states to take a stance.
the POSOTUS is SO trying to destroy America in any way, shape or form that he can.
I thought they lost their credibility long ago with their polls that are D+12 and D+15. Taking a poll and admitting in the fine print that they polled 12 or 15% more Democrats in the poll than Republicans is propaganda. Their credibility died long ago.
This is getting better for America, by the minute. Stock up on lots of popcorn. The situation really speaks for itself -— the truth is something Obama, et al, could never handle.
(I'm not holdering my breath.....)

...much more repression to come after the election, when Mister Obama has more ... ahem ... "flexibility", n'est ce pas?
.
Since when has Obama/Holder acted rationally?
The lawsuit arose becuase a former Gallup employee noted that Gallup overcharged for its Government contracts.
Since when did overspending g’mint monies become a problem?
Besides, I thought following the rules was optional during a Dimwit Admin?
It’s a shame they won’t respond with a poll that oversamples Republicans +12 just to get under their skin.
But what it really says is that polls can be manipulated, something most insiders already know but the gullible public often doesn’t.
I think what has the White House really miffed is Gallup’s polling on unemployment which are worse than the official numbers. That’s because things really are worse than the official numbers and everybody with a brain already knows that. But the White House hates that Gallup doesn’t just swallow that poll and not report it.
Sueing GALLOP because they don't like the numbers?
I mean.......what more do you need to know about this WH?
Dirty, dirty, dirty people.
So the suit has been brewing for three years? What’s taken so long? These Dems are the same people who are trying to convince me they can manage my healthcare? If there is a billing error, there is a paper trail, should be a relatively easy situation to bring to closure.
Incompetence is one thing
Corruption is another thing
This administration is run by corrupt incompetents.
We are nothing more than a banana republic. After this realization you know one must constantly fear your government. That isn’t changing with a different WH.
What is the deal with the “overbilling”? I assume the goverment is paying for Obama’s polling which is illegal on its face.
