Convention: Having yanked religious liberty and Israel from the platform, the boos greeting their reinstatement showed the true colors of a Democratic party and president hostile to both. In politics there are no do-overs.
The pathetic sight of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, repeatedly calling for a voice vote amid a chorus of boos on a motion to restore deleted references to God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, was certainly, as they say, bad optics.
The party of "Yes, We Can" said "No, We Won't" to defending a faithful ally and adhering to the national motto, "In God We Trust."
Three times Villaraigosa called for a voice vote on the changes and each time the yes and no votes seemed to balance each other out. On the third attempt, Villaraigosa ruled the amendments were approved — triggering boos from many in the audience on the night attention should have been focused on former President Bill Clinton's attempt to revive Barack Obama's declining re-election prospects.
The omissions were, er, no fluke. They were not objected to by Obama who, at Georgetown University in April 2009, demanded that the monogram "IHS" — a symbol for the name of Jesus — be covered up before he spoke. Obama has also, through surrogates, said that America will not have Israel's back if it feels the existential need to strike against Iran's growing nuclear threat.
The offending passage, the only reference to God in the 2008 platform, the first Obama ran on, said: "We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential."

I sure as hell hope the Repubs use the video of those Godless and Jew hating bastards often during this campaign. Hang them on their own petards. I know Romnesty won’t do it, but maybe the Repubs will do it.
This election should be a cakewalk. Just show video of the Dem convention’s crowd of freaks and weirdos and liars and baby killers and (fill in the blank).

Sandra Fluke is a nonentity who does not have the stature to address the convention of one of the two major American political parties, especially not in prime time. And she proved it with her sophomoric speech!!!!
The one who announced her pronounced her name with a short “u”, just like the F-word. The way that one would usually pronounce her name is with a long “u”, meaning a parasitic worm. Either way is bad.
I hope that the Dims’ turning their back on God and featuring Fluke will lose the Dims millions of votes, especially in swing states.

The have been quite a few of those kind of speeches at the convention. Nobody can accuse the Democrats of talking over the heads of their audience . Some of speakers could have connected with kindergartners ..

As I write I listen to Joe Biden’s speech...between “Plugs” Biden and Sandra Fluke I believe these are signs of the Dumbocrat Party imploding.
