A senior U.S. official tells CNN that U.S. unmanned surveillance drones are expected to begin flying over Benghazai and other locations in eastern Libya to look for jihadi encampments and targets that may be tied to the attack on U.S. State Department personnel. The proposal for use of drones is expected to be approved shortly by the Pentagon and the White House, CNN's Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr reported. The official said the plan is for U.S. surveillance drones to gather the intelligence and then hand it off to the Libyans to strike the targets.

More WH propaganda thru Politico to show Obama is doing something—but not really.

Yeah, that’ll do it.

Obama knew something was up and left Americans hanging. He should be impeached forthwith.

This is Wolf Blitzer and Brian Williams reporting from Tripoli. Now, back to the studio.

There really aren’t any “national security voters.”

Honestly the reaction of the average man or woman in the street isn’t “lets strike somebody” it’s “why do we even have people in Benghazi in the first place?”

Isolationist feelings are incredibly strong right now.

If we had a real president there would been cruise missiles on their way to Libya with nukes as warheads.

Now you know better than that. Ballistic missiles are way better for delivering nukes.

Considering the small number of cities in Libya one D5 with a MIRV could probably make most of our troubles go away.

Nothing like sending machines to kill innocent people to make up for an injustice...

We allied ourselves to the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda in the Maghreb. Predictably these jackals have turned on us dogs. The wages of a treasonous foreign policy are death of Americans. This is bipartisan treason in supporting the Muslim Brotherhood Spring with Obama and McCain both acting as supporters for Al Qaeda and their allies.

If isolationism were so strong, why didn't Ron Paul do better in the primaries? A lot of libertarian leaning conservatives went to other candidates because they felt the Texas congressman was unrealistic in the foreign policy arena. Granted, the national security voters are mostly in the GOP camp, but there are still the old line Scoop Jackson/Joe Lieberman Democrats, the so-called Reagan Democrats, though their numbers are smaller than in the 1980s. You must also consider the effect of Obama inaction on Jewish voters, especially the older voters, who are more pro-Israel and are in large numbers in South Florida. Cleveland and Philadelphia have large Jewish communities as well.

If true, this announcement is treason. What is wrong with the children running the defense and intelligence agencies these days?

I assume Al Jazeera had this story in time for Obama’s friends in the region to prepare. This lack of operational security is sad.

Hey, you sound like my neighbor. He was commander of a fast attack sub for several years and thinks just like you do.
