He is all of that but he is incompetent because he cannot think or reason under pressure. He is not well educated or even smart... but he is conniving and treacherous and a traitor in the classic sense. Well, he is a Liberal. And liberalism views national loyalty as a vice, not a virtue. Hence, not being traitorous would be considered a vice, not a virtue, in the eyes of liberals.
When they do not carve out unprincipled exceptions for aspects of non-liberal phenomena that they happen to like personally, of course.
