Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson “did not permit U.S. Marine guards to carry live ammunition,” according to multiple reports on U.S. Marine Corps blogs spotted by Nightwatch. “She neutralized any U.S. military capability that was dedicated to preserve her life and protect the US Embassy.”
Such decisions should not be in the hands of ambassadors who often qualify for the position based on little more than how helpful they were in getting a president elected.

These stupid rules would have meant the deaths of those inside the Cairo embassy, had the mob wanted to go that far. The dead bodies of the Americans murdered in Libya are around your neck and the Kenyan’s neck because there were NO Marines to protect the consulate on 9/11.
