White House: Aid to Egypt will continue (Obama continues to aid our enemies)

The White House is flatly rejecting calls from House conservatives to halt U.S. aid to Egypt after a slow response from Cairo in rebuking violent attacks on the U.S. Embassy there Tuesday night.

A group of House conservatives, led by freshman Rep. Jeffrey M. Landry, Louisiana Republican, is calling for foreign aid to both Libya and Egypt to be stripped from a six-month federal funding bill up for a vote Thursday.

Egypt is second only to Israel in the amount of assistance it receives from the U.S., an estimated $2 billion a year, but the White House has no plans to curtail its investment there.

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Air Force One on Thursday that the U.S. would not withhold aid to Egypt.

“We appreciate the public statements that [Egyptian] President Morsi has made condemning acts of violence … and honoring its obligation to ensure the safety of Americans,” he said.

Unbelievable.
If this P.O.S. doesn't loose in a landslide based on this action alone, people are morons.

Time to wake John Boehner up

It's as if he (and other Republicans) have been struck dumb. What a fiasco.

Oh, people are morons, no doubt about it, that's why the FOUNDERS didn't put a right to vote in the Constitution and were against Universal Suffrage.

An electorate that puts the likes of Clinton into office twice, a Kenyan Indonesian communist at least once , gave the lunatic Al Gore the popular vote in 2000, and may elect a Mormon Bishop degenerate sociopath liar and coward is an electorate that is DEMENTED.

The collapse of this Republic is inevitable.

"Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death." James Madison

Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. John Adams: letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.:Thomas Jefferson

"It has been observed that a pure democracy if it were practicable would be the most perfect government. Experience has proved that no position is more false than this. The ancient democracies in which the people themselves deliberated never possessed one good feature of government. Their very character was tyranny; their figure deformity."

~Alexander Hamilton

Speech in New York, urging ratification of the U.S. Constitution (1788-06-21)

So we borrow $1,000,000 from China and give it to Egypt?
My children and grand children will pay on this debt for years.

Like a mortgage?

The word mortgage is a French Law term meaning “death contract”, meaning that the pledge ends (dies) when either the obligation is fulfilled or the property is taken through foreclosure.

Very timely.

Funny how the Founders were so much more smarter than the degenerate political class tyrants in place today.

It was always my understanding the foriegn aid to Egypt was to ensure they would not interfere, or attack Isreal. They lived up to that in the past. Now, they are actively rhetorically attacking Isreal and have promised military backing for other Arab nations if they need it. So why are we giving them money if they have reneged?

Exactly.

The House should be able to pass a retraction of the payments to Egypt. I believe this is a case where Reid would be compelled to bring it before the Senate for a vote because there's so much anger.

The country is clamoring for a response that has a punitive, retaliatory flavor. The Dem Senators up for reelection would be compelled to vote in favor of retracting the Egypt payments, IMHO.

An Obama veto would guarantee losing the Presidency.

Rock. Hard place.

The moment is right. RIGHT NOW! Make the rats shiver before they do some asinine move that sounds tough but means nothing. Libya and Egypt are no longer allies, they are part of the coming Caliphate. Deny all cash that arms against Isreal. Where the hell are the Repubs? This should be brayed since we heard of this.

Yes. Education was privately funded. From Wikipedia:

"The Founding Fathers had strong educational backgrounds at some of the colonial colleges or abroad.[16] Some, like Franklin and Washington, were largely self-taught or learned through apprenticeship. Others had obtained instruction from private tutors or at academies. About half of the men had attended or graduated from college. Some men held medical degrees or advanced training in theology. Most of the education was in the colonies, but several were lawyers who had been trained at the Inns of Court in London."
