I understand oil is “fungible”, but is there any reason we couldn’t have a bill offered to allow US companies to drill in designated federal lands at a greatly discounted fee for inspections/regulations/taxes/etc in return to refine the oil here and sell it here?
I know the Kenyan Marxist would veto it, but it’s worth a shot.
