A call for America to surrender.
In the U.S., freedom of speech is enshrined into our Constitution. All of us can worship as we see fit (or not at all), and also criticize any religion to our heart’s content...
See Bill Mahers documentary “Religulous,” Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s musical mocking the Mormon faith, “Borat” infiltrating the Pentecostal Church, hell, even Dana Carvey’s “The Church Lady”. And I highly doubt that Scientologists will set fire to our embassies in protest of “The Master” being released.
This is part of what “liberty” and “freedom” are — no one could possibly agree on what is “appropriate” to be said, written, or depicted in a movie — but everyone is free to speak their own views (and post them online).
Islam should get the same treatment as all other religions, even if some of its adherents deem it offensive or unfair. Otherwise, we’re not being faithful to the ideas of liberty and freedom. Whether adherents of Islam choose to be compatible with freedom is up-to-them.
As to “Mustafa Malik”? You sir, can go to hell. I will not give up my First Amendments rights for you or anyone else.
