Im on the side the video/pictures are showing the locals trying to help Ambassador Stevens.
The video is taken of the dead ambassador hours after the consulate was attacked. Mr. Stevens died of smoke inhalation and heat from the fires causing the redness in his skin. Heat accelerates rigor mortis, notice his stiff left arm in both photos. Maybe Ambassador Stevens had loosened his own belt when he was trying to breathe in the smoke.
The evil mfers had long left to attack the safe house. Once the compound quit burning the locals found his body. This would account for the many hours Ambassador Stevens was missing.

(The evils of government are directly proportional to the tolerance of the people.)

"Maybe Ambassador Stevens had loosened his own belt when he was trying to breathe in the smoke."I've heard of loosening a tie, never a belt when one cannot breathe.
Maybe he was a boy scout and tried to put out the fire.

In the video, his arms are not bent.

Not me. We do not yet know what the cause of death was for Ambassador Stevens. I believe he was dead before he was removed from the building shown in the video.
Regarding the belt: In the video, there is a glint of the buckle centered right where it should be. In one of the photos, you can definitely see where the belt is undone in the process of being removed from the the belt loops. Then, in the one photo where he is slung over one animal's shoulder, his pants cannot be seen.
No, this was a deliberate removal of his trousers for some reason....and I can only think of one.
