The U.S. State Department is currently in negotiations with the Egyptian government for the transfer of custody of Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as “the Blind Sheikh,” for humanitarian and health reasons, a source close to the the Obama administration told TheBlaze.
Glenn Beck revealed the controversial news on his show Monday.
The negotiations are allegedly part of the ongoing discussions with the Egyptian government to resolve the crisis plaguing the Middle East, the source told TheBlaze. Calls to the State Department for comment referred us to the Department of Justice, and nothing has been confirmed.
The Blind Sheikh is serving a life sentence in American prison for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. His release has been called one of the top priorities of the new Islamist administration in Egypt. Many have pinpointed the cause of last week‘s unrest in Egypt to be protests over the Blind Sheikh’s release– not an anti-Islam YouTube video.

Perhaps it was a trial balloon to see how people react. That means they could still release this scum. Mainly because they know that nobody has the stones to stop them.
Actually, the release of of this creep is something that the Morsi and his crew and the Salafists have been yammering about all summer.

This brings to mind, the release of Lockerbie bomber al-Megrahi. The U.S. government even indicted Rahman’s lawyer Lynne Stewart, along with three other people for passing info outside the prison walls, and for supporting a terrorist group led by Rahman. She was convicted and served a prison term, appealing her case based on health reasons. If they release this POS Rahman, can they at least send Stewart and her fugly daughter back to Egypt with him? Her daughter lost her teacher’s assistant job after she was caught submitting falsified doctor excuses covering her absences to attend her mother’s trial. You know those libs...they can’t do anything legally.

Anyone else from the MSM picking this up? Not that I don’t believe this, but I’d like to see a secondary source with some mainstream creds. Otherwise it’s just a story doomed to the online world...
