Right now the MSM is slowly coming to the realization that this video helps Romney. Let us just hope Romney comes to the same conclusion.

I know what you mean. So many things about this campaign and the GOP in general make me think of this:

Actually, I think Mitt would do well to qualify his comment that the 47% consists of some people who may not be paying taxes now because they have low income (e.g. youth), but who ARE CAPITALISTS who believe in individual rights and free markets.

He needs to speak to them.

Additionally, there are some conservative elderly who are in that 47% category.

There’s votes for him to be had within the 47%.

That said, most of the rest of them are GREEDY LIBERALS who want a hand out.

I check the markets a couple of times a day on Yahoo Finance and find their choice of articles and headlines quite left leaning.

The so called 47% comment is 17 min approx into the tape.

Romney said that there are about 47% of voters that will never vote for him because of (to paraphrase ) their ideology on entitlements.

Any real political strategist, from either party, worth a damn would agree.

Obama is going down in the polls because of the al Quaeda attack and assassination of Amb. Stevens. The latest Gallup poll shows the deterioration. al Quaeda is functioning well internationally and we now have hard proof that Obama has not done a damn thing to neutralize them in 4 years.

This video was released in the hopes of stopping Romney’s increasing poll numbers. However, IMHO, it is going to backfire big time. Romney was well spoken and quite knowledgeable in all the subjects addressed. He gave the impression of confidence and was up front on the ME Israel plight..

And that's about all he's had to run on these days...

A twofer on Romney's 47% remark.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

“Logically, you have to ask yourself - “What can you offer someone with no ambition, who doesn’t want to work and has no intention of paying taxes?”. Mitt was 100% correct in believing he wouldn’t get that constituency’s vote - that’s 0bama’s “Core Constituency”!

Now it seems like everyone here is jumping on us retirees who are living on our savings and social security. I had never realized we were held in such contempt.

No. Retirees, those on Social Security or living on their accumulated retirement savings, have earned that. I think the only ones who begrudge you that are the 0bama socialists. Lost in ever discussion of Social Security is the fact that it is not, or should not be, a gift from the government - you paid into the fund and now it is your right to collect. The system has been screwed up by the libs who, in their efforts to buy votes, give Social Security to those who never paid in, including illegal aliens, who should not even be here, much less collecting our money. These are among those that I hold in contempt and those that 0bama cultivates.

I don’t hold you in contempt Obama does.Your savings goes away a lot faster since Obama’s “War on the Retired “. Kinda hard to get a decent return now with Bernanke keeping rates so low. Look on the bright side there is no inflation unless of course you buy food or fuel or anything like that.

Voted in the CNBC poll. Couldn’t find the yahoo poll. Romney has said what everyone knows. It’s not like Obama isn’t using exactly the same numbers.

I'm going to tell you a short story about my old mother who just announced she will once again vote for Obama because:

"Most of the people who are against him don't like him because he's black. Not all of them, but most of them. Things are getting better. He saved the auto industry. He saved all those jobs. So he's really helping people. There's not going to be any cuts in medicare."

In the meantime she's selling off coins every month to the local gold and silver guy for spending money, she visits doctors twice a week and has for years (she's a chronic user of "medical services" -- a little on the mental dependency, attention-seeking side of things) has a $1900 a month tax free income and lives in a paid-for house.

She earned everything she has, except for her wasteful abuse of medical services which is subsidized through her state retirement.

In short, my mother has more disposable income than most of her children and granchildren, and she's seen all the joblessness, the foreclosures, the wasting of assets while watching her grown children and grandchildren suffer and it's, "Oh well, things are fine for me."

10k votes indicates a decent, non-fabricated stride.
