I keep seeing these articles based on rumors and reports. Yet, when I try to research any change in position, I find nothing. It feels more like an an attempt to remove some of CFA’s support than a change in CFA’s stand.

I’ve seen another version of this story that ties it directly to the new store going into I think Boston, where the mayor has supposedly “relented” and will allow the restuarant, because of “assurances”. That story also suggests that this “new stance” is not a new one, but was posted on the company’s facebook page back in July when this started.

So that might be a place to start looking. I don’t think it was a change, I believe they’ve said they don’t specifically donate money to groups advocating against gay marriage, they give money to groups that support families. One of those groups is also a big player in defending marriage, but it isn’t the purpose of the group.
