Ridiculous.
Massachusetts is only 12% Republican population. He had to get his judicial picks approved by the Governor's Council which was comprised of 8 Democrats and 1 Republican.
Even against those odds, he was able to appoint 9 Republicans out of 36 and the rest were independents and Dems. That is 25% Republicans out of the total, even against the opposition he faced.
