Judge explains contempt finding against Somali woman

If a Muslim woman wasn't punished for refusing to stand when a federal judge entered the courtroom, others would have been emboldened to show disrespect for the court, the judge has ruled.

Chief U.S. District Judge Michael Davis wrote that defendant Amina Farah Ali's silent gesture -- which she said was rooted in religious principle -- could have led to chaos during her trial on terrorism-related charges last year.

"If Ali were allowed to sit while court is called, it may have been possible that her many sympathizers would have begun to emulate her in a show of support," Davis wrote in an opinion and order.

"The court was also concerned that allowing Ali to show disrespect for the court by failing to rise would encourage additional signs of disrespect, leading to a loss of control in the courtroom."

Ali, 36, is one of two Rochester women awaiting sentencing for raising money for al-Shabaab, a group fighting the government of her native Somalia.

“Most Illegal Immigrant Families Collect Welfare”

Census Bureau data reveals that most U.S. families headed by illegal immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare programs on behalf of their American-born anchor babies. Even before the recession, immigrant households with children used welfare programs at consistently higher rates than natives, according to the extensive census data collected and analyzed by a nonpartisan Washington D.C. group dedicated to researching legal and illegal immigration in the U.S...The majority of households across the country benefitting from publicly-funded welfare programs are headed by immigrants, both legal and illegal. States where immigrant households with children have the highest welfare use rates are Arizona (62%), Texas, California and New York with 61% each and Pennsylvania (59%).

The study focused on eight major welfare programs that cost the government $517 billion the year they were examined. They include Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the disabled, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), a nutritional program known as Women, Infants and Children (WIC), food stamps, free/reduced school lunch, public housing and health insurance for the poor (Medicaid).

Food assistance and Medicaid are the programs most commonly used by illegal immigrants, mainly on behalf of their American-born children who get automatic citizenship. On the other hand, legal immigrant households take advantage of every available welfare program, according to the study, which attributes it to low education level and resulting low income.

This is what happened in Europe. African muslims were imported to do the work that Europe’s children were not doing (not having been born) in order to support the Dutch, French, Swedes, etc. in their old age in the manner to which they had become accustomed, cradle-to-grave. Largely because we—the USA— were paying for the “safety” part of their “health, safety and welfare” triad.

Unfortunately, despite the confounding inability of the children of Islam to assimilate the muslims quickly learned about `democratic socialism,’ along with `grievance’ politics: `The infidels pay us for not working? And our wives? This cannot be true ... And they will submit?’ It’s true, at least in Europe.

We don’t have Europe’s demographic problem, or guilt or muslim problems, although we do have a problem with immigration `line-jumpers’ (another issue). This is just a harbinger of things to come. If this terrorist-loving bitch is here on a visa or has immigrant status, deport her! There’s a long line of educated, qualified `pre-Americans’ with good moral character waiting, and willing to show respect in our court rooms for the people as represented in the person of the judge, for our customs, traditions and the Judeo-Christian rule of law.

Fail to do this and next we will see articles in this forum involving American women being harassed, or worse, for failing to cover their heads; damage to cars, property; demands for sharia law in urban muslim enclaves, people subject to our jurisdiction failing to recognize our laws, demanding deference to Islam ... Oh yeah, that’s the case here, isn’t it?
