President Obama has learned something during his presidency: You can’t change Washington from the inside.
“The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t change Washington from the inside,” he told a Univision forum Thursday. “You can only change it from the outside.”

Exactly, he is beginning to prep the public. It will be an, “I didn’t really want to win because...” excuse.
He may be right.
Those of us on the outside are about to change Washington completely on November 6.
“If DC won’t change, it’s time to just do away with it altogether.”
In our dreams. In Reality they are consolidating power against We the People.

Setting himself up for a cushy spot once he’s defeated?
Not “it's really hard” or “there are big challenges that I understand better now” but “cannot be changed”.
His entire Hope and Change theme is now bogus.
What an idiot, it has never been apparent to me this guy is all that bright.

I wonder how liberals like hearing that, when “effective” presidents like LBJ, FDR, Wilson were able to command from the presidency.
He’s just admitting that he’s a demonstrable failure.
So in other words, If you can’t beat em join em.
They can “consolidate” everything they have now. We still outnumber them 10000:1.
First right thing this a-wipe has said, step aside and let somebody who can make the changes needed do the job.

What he means is that he can’t rule by executive fiat because those nasty founding fathers created a system that made change more difficult than he would like sometimes.

We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-people’s movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all people’s movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and people’s unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.
