All we can say is that the need for the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too has never been greater.

SAT scores lower? Time to cut pay based on performance and recruit even cheaper teachers and load them down with non-academic home problems.
What chu means, we doesn’t know how to talk? Dis be da silliest question since they axed me how much be 2 plus 2, and dey laugheded when I went 5.
It’s racist, I tells you, racist.
How much have they already dumbed down the SAT from when I was in high school?
Verbal??
Is verbal the ones you do when you can’t read and write??
One other factor may result in SAT scores going lower.
I don’t know about other states, but a few years ago Maine’s
Department of Public Instruction changed the high school graduation requirements to include sitting for the SAT exam.
So even if you had no intention of going on to college, you were required to take the exam as a condition to graduate from high school. Oh, and the exam is given on a Saturday.
I suspect the bottom 25% of high school student just blow the exam off and don’t care how they do.

OMG, LOL, ru sAyn r kdz r functionally iliter8?
Empirical evidence shows no coorelation between teachers’ pay and student performance. Nor is there much of a correlation between class size and student performance. There is, however, a strong coorelation between teachers’ IQ and student performance.
My solution is simple and elegant: give all the teachers an IQ test. Fire the lower half, double the salaries of the upper half, move the students whose teachers are fired into into classes lead by the teachers in the upper half.
Problem solved.
Shut up.
They are all waiting to go home and watch “Honey Boo Boo” and “Ow My Balls”
They dumbed down the SAT year after year and still the scores get lower? Wow. All that money and federal programs, too, yet, less results.
Oh the Maine students that have no interest in being there would still guess.
Good Q I heard they added a essay part but I bet you had more incentive to be a good student because today colleges will provide remedial high school subjects. But do all students really need to take a SAT test and then fail out of college? That's a bad Q - they can always find a crap courses in a college that will take them for the $$$ if they got financial aid from someone. Base financial aid on the SAT scores and there will be an improvement.
Once upon a time, Mensa (the high IQ society) would accept certain SAT scores as sufficient qualification for membership.
They no longer do so. Old scores, yes. Modern scores? Mensa doesn’t care. The SAT isn’t measuring IQ. The administrators have watered it down so much that it is no longer clear what the test measures.
Perhaps those tests should be given in countless other languages. There’s really no need for English to be spoken here./s
The obvious solution is to spend more time in class teaching Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered History.
Press “1” for English, all others hang up!
That’s imbelievable. Irreal even.
