OK, well it didn’t take me that long to find it after all! Here’s a link to the article I mentioned:

Obama authorizes secret support for Syrian rebels
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/02/us-usa-syria-obama-order-idUSBRE8701OK20120802

I remember it because it struck me as so incredibly ironic that a supposedly “secret” order was printed in the international media so quickly, and so widespread... Definitely a leak - but, I think Obama WANTED his buddies to know he would come through.

All according to God's plan.

Jordan is one of the Psalm 83 nations. Everything is falling into place just as the Holy Spirit said it will.

Currently, the Jews of Israel, to whom God has kept His promise to bring them back from among the nations to which they were dispersed after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, are largely secular, with some Orthodox groups who believe in God the Father.

God told us that they would be brought back to the land in unbelief (in Jesus as Messiah), and that is their current situation. The imminent seven-year Tribulation period, which is the final seven weeks of years spoken of in Daniel's 70th week prophecy, is the last week of the Law that God promised the Jewish people and it will be during that time that God prepares them, through horrific testing during which many will die, to receive the blessings He has promised them which will find their ultimate fulfillment during the thousand-year earthly reign of Christ.

God will come to the defense of His people during both the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 wars; however, He will use the Antichrist during the Tribulation to purify His people and bring them to the end of themselves and to the point where they will finally accept their true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Yes, and He gives them up to their delusions.

He has such a stupid look, it is hard to believe that he has a “plan”.

I do. I believe he is alive and well, and, in my opinion, in some obscure position in a government in Europe somewhere. The Holy Spirit tells us that he will come to prominence out of obscurity - I think he will be someone nobody has ever heard of - someone with no political or personal baggage.

He can't come on the scene until Christ comes and gets His bride, and Scripture tells us he will come in on some kind of peace deception - he will confirm a seven-year peace covenant between Israel and one or more nations. Many prophecy scholars are beginning to think that this "peace covenant" will happen after the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38/39 wars - and will include allowing Israel to rebuild their temple.

obama fits the description to a “T”. He came to power from obscurity. His father’s roots are the Middle East. And I’d be willing to bet he gets some kind of “peace” agreement between Israel and Iran BEFORE the election. Netanyahu spoke with obama on the phone today. And said he and obama are on the same page concerning Iran. And if he’s re-elected, 3 1/2 years into his second term the peace will be broken.

Yet, as far as I know, Christ has not returned. However, when I look at pictures on milk cartons I think maybe I missed it.

I know many people believe that Obama is the Antichrist, but I can't bring myself to agree.

He has too much baggage, his credibility is shot, Israel would never trust him on any "peace" agreement, too many people despise him - and the Scripture says that the Antichrist himself will come from the people that destroyed Jerusalem in 70AD- it doesn't say anything about the Antichrist's father, assuming that he has one. The Bible also says that the Antichrist will come with signs and miracles and wonders - and the only "wonder" about Obama is how his election miraculously revealed to the whole world just how many abysmally stupid people live in this country.

I just see him failing too many of the Biblical criteria for the Antichrist.

The thing about it is if he appears as a person well liked by everyone we will KNOW he’s the AC.

As for the peace agreement, I’m not sure Israel will trust anyone. They’ll just be forced to go along.

Well, those who know Christ as Savior won't be here to see who the Antichrist turns out to be, but it does make for interesting speculation.

And it could be that Israel is forced to go along, but I heard an interview with a pastor who goes to Israel often and he was speaking to some members of the military over there and he asked them how they would be able to recognize their messiah when he comes. The response? "He will help us to rebuild our temple".

I think the possibility is good that Israel (in their current secular condition) will be taken in like the rest of the world, so much so that they will believe that this guy is their messiah, and will be thrilled to go along with the "peace" covenant and will be quite enthusiastic about it.

And after the complete devastation to both Islam and that part of the world after the Psalm 83 war and especially after God Himself destroys five-sixths of the millions that attempt to invade Israel in the Ezekiel 38/39 war, many attitudes and worldviews will be much changed and many, many people will be very compliant and agreeable to some sort of "peace" accord.
