I think a lot of people didn’t understand what this author understands, and they were pleased that Obama mentioned the Copts. However, what he was really calling for was a ban on speech, although it’s certainly not words that are killing the Copts, but acts of violence perpetrated by Muslims. Equating the killing of people in their churches with the mere criticism or even ridicule of an Islamic religious figure is way off base.

Obama’s basic objective, of course, is precisely that of controlling all speech, specifically for the benefit of Islam.
