....there was particular consternation at Romney's singling out of deficit-ridden Spain as a poorly administered economy.

"Spain has never been mentioned in a presidential debate as a symbol of failure," the left-leaning newspaper lamented. "What happened last night makes history. And not in a good way."

HAHAHAHA! This is the best reason to vote Romney yet. Romney should make a point that European leaders closely align themselves with Democrats. What does that tell you.

Leading Spanish daily El Pais highlighted the fact that Spain was the only European country mentioned, and contrasted Romney's negative depiction of it with Obama's praise for Spain's renewable energy policies during the 2008 campaign.

How are those renewable energy policies working out now? Oh, that's right, you cut your subsidies because you are bankrupt.

The socialist Europeans are worried Romney will get in and give Ben Bernanke the boot. And tighten up monetary policy which means problems for Europeans. Problems for the ECB printing imaginary money to bail out Spain and others

Now, now. Some very fine, intelligent, hardworking Europeans have been known to exist.

Of course, they all got off the boats on Ellis Island years ago.
