Not blaming the victim, but I do wonder why parents would let a child out at night alone. Why didn’t her father pick her up, or why wasn’t she accompanied by an adult? Whatever the scenario, she was still vulnerable in a dangerous situation. An adult should have made sure she was safe.

But I agree, her attackers should be swinging from a length of rope...after their male body parts are cut off...while they are alive and conscious.

When I was fifteen, my mom worked at night as a waitress to support us (my father was deceased). There were plenty of nights I was out and about - without her knowledge. Kids will be kids.

My situation was/is not the same as this poor girl, what I'm saying is there is no "whatever the scenario".

An adult should have made sure she was safe? Easy to say, sometimes harder to accomplish.

Yes, I agree with you. In an ideal world, anyone should be able to walk alone anywhere at any time, but this is hardly an ideal world. This poor girl should not have been out alone at this hour, but that is not blaming the victim.
