Obama’s Enthusiasm Gap
New York Times ^ | 4 Oct 2012 | Matt Bai

Posted on 10/05/2012 12:25:59 AM PDT by Cronos

..Watching the president grimace his way through the restrained back-and-forth reminded me of a conversation I recently had with a friend in Democratic politics, who posited that Mr. Obama simply doesn’t love being president. Not that he doesn’t want the job or believe he should have it, or that its challenges don’t give him plenty of cause for stress or solemnity — just that he doesn’t appear to actually enjoy the daily business of running the country.

...The problem for Mr. Obama isn’t that he seemed indifferent or peevish on stage, though he did. The problem is that it underscored what has too often been his countenance in office.

He came to Denver with no larger theme he wanted urgently to get across, no story to tell, no apparent passion for the chance to make himself understood and make his opponent look silly. He was there to defend his policies, but he wasn’t going to get all needy about it, and no one was going to make him have an ounce of fun.

..Mr. Obama’s goal, it seems, was to indicate his continued willingness to serve in a job he believes he can do better than the other guy, but that doesn’t really seem to enervate or enliven him. That’s a problem, and not only for the duration of the campaign.

What happened to the “Romney was aggressive” meme?

running the country, liberals have no clue what this nation is about since its formation. These liberals are a bunch of spoiled brats demanding to have their way with US. Somebody spared the rod and spoiled the children.

Jay Leno said something tonight like “President Obama during the debate outline his plan for developing new energy sources. Huh? He couldn’t even find the energy for a 90 minute discussion!”

Obama is a great example of Affirmative Action. He has skated through life simply because of the color of his skin (with White Liberals protecting him at every turn). When forced to stand on his own, he crumbles.

Zero stifled himself like a dingbat because Romney was supposed to win.. Scripted to win...
The next two debates Obama will eviscerate Romney..

Especially the last one.. it is all a Cartoon..
Republicans are clueless.. totally clueless to the evil intent.. and plan..

Obama was very quite because he was afraid he would accidentally win.. so he clammed up..
Only question is, is Romney in on it?... complicit.?..
And will produce poorly on the next two.. ON PURPOSE..

Is our givernment that degraded?.. I hope not, but probably it is..
We have a Marxist traitor in charge of the FBI, NSA and CIA.. plus several other security mechanisms..

Or it could be that Romney just completed several tough debates against some excellent debaters and actually prepped. While the petulant child that is Obama just shrugged it off and thought he could bluff his way through the debate. Occam’s Razor is your friend.

Going to post this reminder on every thread:

Romney has to ask him what he meant by his “Tell Putin I can be more flexible after re-election”????????????

_____________

Romney can also remind him the following dialogue:

"I cannot bear Netanyahu, he's a liar," Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

"You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you," Obama replied, ...

Obama is a frustrated golfer and basketball player; a career in sports would have been just the thing for him if he’d have put in the work to cultivate it. Path of Least Resistance was his choice it seems.

Matt Bai sounds very close to saying that Obama is just too smart to be President. This is the multi-generational approach for Democrat wizards trying to defend a nit-wit.

Obama didn’t have to face an opponent when running for Senate (just dug dirt till they withdrew and he was unopposed) and I think McCain wanted Obama to be President himself. Plus he was old, short and weak voiced.

This was Obama’s FIRST real deal. No teleprompter, nothing but his own thoughts and behavior.

More stupidity from the Slime.

This nonsense piece is to say God took a hand at saving USA by giving us Hope and Change, but we don't deserve HIM. It is not HIS fault that he appeared so discouraged.

Fits into misus’ narrative - we be so lucky that Obama decided to run for presidency.

Like I said, pukester material. (that goes without saying when reading stuff from such source.)
