I think that most rational people will understand that these numbers are fake. Only those trying to push the lie will go out and tout these numbers as genuine.

Wonderful these “magical” good numbers.
In my area, the only new business I have seen to open is the Halloween costume/supplies store. It rented the same empty, closed former carpet(?) store that it has rented the last few years. The Halloween supplies store rents it a couple months prior and then departs right after Halloween.
Of course the old carpet store is empty the rest of the year, though the owners would love to find a full time tenant.
But the new jobs just aren’t here that I can see.
Oh, wait..a couple years ago, a new GoodWill store (thrift store—used clothing, etc) opened after the former auto accessories store left.
