Obama's poor debate performance may be the excuse that pollsters are seeking to finally go back to legitimate straight polling.

We all know that they have to do this within a week or two of the election so they can claim that they were accurate in their analysis. The trick for them is when to credibly move to straight polling without it being so glaringly obvious. This may be the cover they were looking for.

I expect that the pollsters will wait until after the VP debate and the second Romney/Obama debate, in order to prove to themselves that the first debate was not a fluke, and then they will start reporting accurate polls.

I don’t think it was a debate bounce. I think a lot of dems realized after the debate that Bill Clinton/Sandra Fluke weren’t running after all. The ‘RAT convention confused a lot of them.

I think Ohio has democrats over weighted. There is no excitement for Obama here. The Senate race is getting all the attention.
