To: Haiku Guy

Actually I was here before then but mostly as a lurker and not as a poster at first. Those that were here back then remember the database crash and we were added back in from the first post they could find with our name on it if I recall correctly. I signed up about 5 or 6 months after FreeRepublic came online. I have watched FR evolve into what it has become today and like Wardaddy and others I too miss the early days of FR.

Remember the good old days when there was a trending hot topic, and every post on the home page would be the same? I liked that much better, because a dominant event could crowd everything else out.

Do you remember when a liberal used to post and get into arguments with freepers? I want to say his screen name had a b in it - maybe bill something. This was back in the mid to late 90’s if memory serves. Been a long time since liberals openly posted here.
