Liberals fret: Is Obama bored? Does he want a second term? Maybe not.

There’s no doubt President Obama’s liberal supporters are worried by his lackluster performance in the Denver debate. “Everyone is in shock,” one show-business liberal told the Hollywood reporter. “No one can understand what happened.” The Obama faithful are offering the White House advice, talking points, pep talks — anything to improve the president’s performance when he next faces Mitt Romney at Hofstra University on October 16.

It is my belief that Obama has higher aspirations. After all, the job of POTUS is beneath him but a necessary step to the next level. Obama wants to be the leader of the whole world in the coming NWO. He’s looking to take the reigns of the UN. Call me a religious nut, but I think Obama could be the Antichrist.

If Romney wins, he will be the nominee in 2016. Palin (or whoever else) will have to wait until 2020. For what it’s worth, Palin will still only be 56 years old in 2020 - seven years younger than Romney is today. So Palin has plenty of time. But based on my observations of her over the past year, I feel that she may be out of politics for good.

I read that it was michelle who did not want him to have a second term.

Don’t know if it’s true or not, but if it is, pray like heck, Michelle.

Pritzker has not lifted a finger to help with the 2012 campaign financing because she’s in charge of leaning on large donors to fund both the Obamas’ post-presidential home and the Obama Presidential Library. If you’ve wondered why Pritzker’s been absent from the Obama campaign team and why his fundraising has been so anemic, it’s because the wealthiest donors do not believe he’s going to win a second term and are instead giving their campaign contributions to Mitt Romney so they can have some clout and favor with the incoming White House.

Besides, he also knows the crappy economy he’ll “inherit” if he is reelected.

If he gets re-elected, he doesn't care how bad the economy is or how bad it will get. He really hasn't cared that much about the economy the last 4 years ... only enough to try to get re-elected. The guy wants 4 more years to party on the taxpayer dime ... AF1, golf (right ... is that what he's REALLY doing?), keeping The Mooch happy with expensive vacays & shopping trips, etc.

That’s interesting, thank you. Hilbuzz is well worth reading on these topics.

I disagree.

Romney managed to be the last one standing in the candidacy, but we could do (much) better with Palin.

Palin changed her mind. Her kids will have grown up greatly in the next four years, and she will be ready.

Romney in 2012.

Palin in 2016.

The problem will be displacing Romney in 2016 (assuming he wins in November). If Romney is elected, there is almost a 100% chance he will also be the nominee in 2016 - unless he decides not to run for a second term, a remote possibility as he will be 73 years old. But if that happens, Paul Ryan will have the inside track.

The only way the door will be open for Sarah Palin to run in 2016 is if Romney/Ryan lose and as much as Sarah Palin fan as I am, I do not want to see that scenario.

The MSM is already readying their excuses for when Zero loses: “He lost because he didn’t really try very hard because he didn’t really want to be President for four more years. He was so brilliant that the job bored him.”

His loss has nothing to do at all with the fact that the voters resoundingly voted against his failed socialist policies.

If they think Bam looked bad on the economy and healthcare wait til the next debate which is foreign policy. Since he doesn’t have one Mitt is going to obliterate him. I cannot wait to see it.

Sorry, but I'm not buying it.

LA is only a few hundred miles farther from Hawaii than it is from DC. Chicago, of course, is closer, maybe an hour closer by plane. But Michelle ain't livin' in crazy cold Chicago. Her momma don't want no Chicago, either. barack was their ticket out. All that's there is crazy Bill Ayers. He's no fun. They just wanted to have him write the book and introduce barack to people.

Live near LA, maybe, but I don't see Hollywood caring about obama if he's a loser. They don't like losers. Bad for the image. They might live there for Michelle's shopping, but I don't see them being invited to parties after the obama novelty wears off.

As much as I love Palin, she has been pretty well tagged with the "crazy" and "dumb" labels. It will take a huge effort for her to undo that. She will need massive media exposure in which she never makes a mistake. Otherwise, they will say, "There she goes again. She really is dumb."

She will have to work her way back to the top. The stupid GOP exposed her to the lefties first as a rookie on the national scene. They should have run her through all the conservative talk shows first. They should have been instructed to play the devil's advocate with her and made their questions tougher as she got better.

Too late now. She's just a joke to a LOT of people. She might get to the top of the ticket in the primaries in 12 to 16 years or so.

"rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president"

Well that's the right thing to say under the circumstances, but fortunately for the country he has little chance of being either one.

To what end? So he can have a comeback in two weeks? Why not go for the kill the first night, if he had it in him. The media already had Romney on the ropes for him.
