"And there’s no doubt that this is a serious problem. It’s one that is affecting every community across this country.

But just like with so many other challenges that we face as a nation, the African American community is being hit even harder by this issue.

We are living today in a time where we’re decades beyond slavery, we are decades beyond Jim Crow; when one of the greatest risks to our children’s future is their own health.

African American children are significantly more likely to be obese than are white children.

Nearly half of African American children will develop diabetes at some point in their lives.

People, that’s half of our children. "

“Nearly half of African American children will develop diabetes at some point in their lives. People, that’s half of our children.”

That is some goofy math - half of African American children = half of all children?

Amen and bravo! The idea that fat is bad comes from the idiotic Eastern idea that you take on the properties of whatever you eat. Somehow when you eat fat it ends up in your heart, clogging things up. Funny how nothing else works this way. Nobody believes that carrots and potatoes clog up your heart. The very idea that fat is bad for you and ends up clogging your heart is preposterous.

Back in the day, we were told that the poor kids on the rez were malnourished because all they had to eat were “Beans, squash, and cornmeal, with the occasional bit of wild meat”.

We, on the other hand, were blessed to live in the city where we could have meat, potatoes, veggies, Peanut butter and jelly, cookies, and plenty of milk and NICE WHITE BREAD.

We were told to clean our plates, because the poor Indian kids on the rez were starving.

“One of the paintings shows a tribe on horseback driving an entire herd of buffalo off a cliff.”

Archeological digs indicate this was done, even before Indians had horses. (I read about it in “1491.”)

Coming from the “First Lady”, it does seem an odd thing to say.

I far prefer the taste of grass fed over grain fed any day. In fact the burger Ii buy in my town is all local grown grass fed and I gladly pay the extra cash per pound for the good stuff!

How can we miss her if she won't go away?

Yep - she's a 47%-er all right.

She has gotten used to living in government housing and getting that government check every month.

It might be worth a trip to DC on January 20 just to see the Secret Service drag her butt out of the people's house.

She will be screaming, kicking, digging her nails into the woodwork.....

Animal fat is not bad for you and doesn’t make you fat

Thank you. I'm so tired of the conventional wisdom (promoted by everyone including the Feds) that keeps telling people to poison themselves with processed carbs and sugars.

It's one thing for this woman to exist as an ABJECT MORON. It's quite another for her to force her moronic ideas on our children.

It’s like when I blogged about the war on salt and told people that not everyone has adverse effects from it. I was accused of playing doctor despite the fact that i told people to check with their doctor!

We’ve been misled for years. I’ve eaten two hard boiled eggs a day from my chickens for a couple years now with no increase in cholesterol. Another myth (for most people, not all)

Someone ask Mrs. Obama if she advocates eating those native American meals.

She would probably approve of coyote stew: "tastes just like dog!"

Or, do the entire world a favor: roasted, stuffed prairie dog.
